Just wanted to let everyone know the bootloader unlock should be coming anytime now. HTC is supposedly Diligently Working to get it ready. Guess all the harassment paid off but hey HTC is a good company and they like loyal customers so I'm not surprised. But hey we been waiting long enough. Jk we got plenty of time to enjoy this beauty of a phone everything will come in due time, soon as in Today hopefully LOL.

Here is a post from one website, but you can Google it and pretty much see its already in the works.

No.... because this is the same thing that has been posted 15 times already. having another one doesn't make it happen any faster..
I'm sure they're getting the point. I think they working as fast as they can. I want it done right. I'm sure they don't want to lose a huge line of customers who waiting on root. HTC wants sells and they don't want Samsung to capitalize because they pissed there customers off. This is two if there biggest phones to date from a business perspective its not smart to be slow.

They could put an unlocked bootloader in a firmware.zip and have it uploaded to the internet in well under half an hour if they really wanted to... probably under 5 tbh.

To all of the people saying "be patient" think if it this way: Every day we don't have root we lose one developer.

in a month or two, well, never mind....theyd better unlock soon...

No automatic root... All the bootloader now is doing is preventing us from loading a custom firmware (possibly with root included). Have to achieve S-Off first to be able to load those custom firmwares. So it is possible to have root now by someone finding an exploit, but impossible for custom firmware. If we have room and the boot loader is unlocked (not encrypted), then it is possible to then use custom firmware.

you sure about that buddy?

an unlocked bootloader is simply an unlocked boatloader
you can flash stuff, but doesnt magically give you root........
Sure it does.

Is HTC planning to give us an unlocked bootloader or just one that isn't encrypted.

I see your point though I'm guessing priorities are:

1) fix the bugs
2) unlock the bootloader.

I'd be shocked if this isn't done by July 24th and I'd bet that it will come sooner.

WRONG

............
I see, I see. Well, when you give so much information, along with all those facts... I mean, it just won't be possible to argue with that kind of logic. You have obviously spent quite a bit of time putting that answer together, what with all of the links and facts to disprove the other guy.
