Just purchased and the tab is awesome! Since, I am about to framaroot, are there any issues with stability or apps that do not work? I will use twrp(via goo) and also run stock until someone makes that dream 4.2 rom. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated!

I also used framaroot and everything has been working great... I haven't tried every app (in fact very few of the pre-loaded apps), but I can confirm that 'Reader Hub' detects root and refuses to run. I'll report back here if I find any more apps that give problems...

I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2251033 to root my Note 8 2 weeks ago. As FaeMinx mentioned, Readers Hub detects root "Rooting detected" and quits. Also, some built-in Samsung apps gave weird errors when trying to update, but then last week they all started updating again...

Other than those issues, I've been using my rooted Note 8 daily, and it hasn't been giving me any other issues.

I've rooted my Note 8 with Framaroot and is working most of the time. Not all is working like Directory Bind and LMT Launcher.

I'm just guessing those apps are not tuned in to the Note 8's specific configuration.

Anyone have a solution to this issue?

I mainly use the Pie Function in the LMT Launcher and it is working fine for me. Rooted with Framaroot also and haven't had a problem yet.

LMT still not working after a reinstall in the Note 8. It works fine on my Note II.

I couldn't get it working at first until I remembered it needed some more configuration after install. I opened LMT, pressed Start/Stop TouchService, pressed Autostart Touch Service to configure to run at startup, and pressed the Set TouchService mode to Pie. I then rebooted, opened LMT again and configured the Pie.

Thanks so much. I went on and rooted. Which recovery are you all using and why?

I am using CWM Recovery #4 located in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244252

I tried the TWRP which was downloaded by GooManager but the touch areas were off a bit which resulted in unexpected results.

Ok, I didn't the pie menu all along. Noob move on my part. Thank you for the advice. I'm now configuring Directory Bind to work like on my Note II. The directory paths keep on dissapearing on boot, and Directory Bind keeps on crashing or stops after a while.

I've not gotten Directory Bind working either. It will break once we get the 4.2 update, along with all current methods to swap internal and external memory so shouldn't be relied upon.

Hi Caesare,

the app can be downloaded from Samsung Apps. I just tried it on SGS3 and I also got the "Rooting detected" error, so I'm searching for solution.

I'm assuming Directory Bind has the same function as Folder Mount. I use the later and have had no issues with it. Have about 15GB of game data stored on my SD card using it so may be a viable alternative if you continue to have issues.
It didnt work on my TF101 initially, but a quick email to the dev and a new version was released the next day that fixed my issues. Not had any problems with it on my Note 8.0 wifi though

I mentioned this in another thread and someone mention that there was a fix for this in CIVs Kernal. I've not flashed it to see if it works yet though as it isnt a major issue to me.
I dont intend on updating the Kernal untill the mods are a little more mature. Stability is my number one priority.
