The method listed earlier in this thread, via that link to another thread works for 10.2.4, but I've discovered something to make this process a little smoother: The second (Qemu) method isn't even necessary. All this does that actually *needs* to be done is it deletes /data/local.prop and replaces it with a new local.prop that contains "ro.kernel,qemu=1"This worked for 10.2.4 also,.

I'm on that hunt myself. I've installed Droidwall until I find it, but I'd rather just disable the updates.
Basically, the first method fully roots the device perfectly and installs a working Superuser.apk, etc, but doesn't replace the local.prop which is why the KF runs p a i n f u l l y s l o w l y . . .
I'm going to edit the 'RunMe.bat' to add that particular step at the end and remove the extra crap (extra menu option for special devices, etc) and test it out. If it works after I un-root my KF, I'll zip it up and upload it then post a link here.
