For K420DS/N Users,
You can't use Kingroot/Kingoroot to root your device anymore in latest update. Anyways I got you covered.

(1) Download the file. Click Here.
(2) Use my LG UP guide to flash the file (Choose Refurbish): https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-k10/how-to/guide-upgrade-downgrade-lg-k10-t3488250
(3) Download Kingoroot. Try root. Your device may restart, don't worry.
(4) Your phone is rooted!

For K410 users, its the usual Kingroot way.

(1) Download Kingroot. Try root. Your device may restart, don't worry.
(2) Your phone is rooted!

Since you have Qualcomm chipset you can try rooting it using King Root.

Yes you can replace King root with SuperSu later.

(1) Download & Install "King Root" app onto your phone.

Download links are provided below.

(2) Select "Try It". It will find if your phone is already rooted.

(3) Select "TRY TO ROOT". It finds for a root strategy and then the app starts to root your phone.

Your phone might restart while rooting. Don't panic!!!!

(4) Install "Root Checker Basic" app from Google Play Store.

(5) Verify Root Status. If your phone is successfully rooted, you will get this screen:

Replace "King Root" with "Super SU" (Not Recommended)(Best way to brick your phone)

Hi, tried that with K420N, Android 6.0. LGUP connected just fine, started flashing the KDZ file, got stuck at step lap (LGUP 13%, phone 0%) for hours. I know I should not disconnect, but it was obviously not going to change any more. Situation now is softbrick, very short boot loop with "secure booting error! error code: 1003". Will not react to POWER + Vol Dwn or Vol up, regardless of when connecting USB. USBdeview or device manager show no connected devices. LGUP can't find phone.

Edit: Line no does change, i.e.
1150 ... secure booting error! (normally)
4360 ... secure booting error! (POWER+Vol Dwn), also takes longer to appear on screen

Any ideas?
