Is this port now fix the fish eye effect on the LG G6's wide angle camera?
Is the manual mode with focus peaking available for the video mode too?

thanks

No one seems to be active in this thread. I can see 249 posts including my two, but no one can answer this. Which means those two features are not supported is what I can assume.

I'd like to switch to Lineage OS and install this but I'm kinda new to all this and I do like the camera as it is now. Just to be sure; installing this will make my camera run like it is now (with a little extra options)?

wideangle camera fish eye...:NATURAL no need and no possible fix.
I am not sure what you are trying to say. LG G6 camera itself has the wide angle with the fish eye type effect on the corners. Now that V30 has refined this to avoid the fish eye look.
So my question is after porting v30 camera into LG G6 - does the fish eye effect is addressed and removed? I already have the answer from OP that the fish eye effect still continues to stay. That was a huge disappointment for me otherwise I would have picked up a G6 and ported this camera in.

I'm fairly certain this a hardware limitation sure to the tour of wide angle lens that the G6 uses as opposed to the V30. I remember reading somewhere they used a lens that doesn't give as wide of a field of view as v20 and g6 but in doing so lessens the amount of fish eye effect. There could be a little help from the actual camera software but from what I've read it's mainly due to the lens

LG g6 has 2 cameras 1 normal angle 1 wide
Wide angle fish eye natural /normal all wide angle camera do fish eye.
V30 has 2 camera 1 regular and 1 wide .
V30 wide camera relly better(or not.... POV question) than g6 but it's hardver!!!

G6 wide angle camera 125'
V30 wide angle just 120'
So ok v30 less fish eye but!! less angle...

Agree, it looks like it. So no point for me to go for LG G6.

I know all this boss, you totally missed the question I was asking. You are also wrong about V30, there is no 'less fish eye'. That effect is totally gone in that.

No gone just v30 sensore lesser angle....Keep in mind difrfent hardware so no possible on g6....Better than G6 but FE:https://cdn2.techadvisor.co.uk/cmsdata/reviews/3663472/lg_v30_wide_angle_camera_test.jpg

I prefer wider angle+little FE, on g6
V30 less angle less FE not to me...
Respect and love bro!

@xpirt: first of all, thanks for your work. Can you please edit the OP, it says it works with all rooted ROMs, but it seems to only work with rooted stock-like ROMs. It does not work with LineageOS, neither #2 nor #4.

any chance this can work on a nonrooted device ? dual sim owner here :(
