lmg710em unsupported country

Greetings everyone;

Since my lmg710em is registered in an "unsupported country"; I cannot unlock my bootloader with official way. I've looked for hours to find an unofficial way but I found nothing... Is there a chance that someone got same european version share the unlock.bin file?

Thanks for your help,
cheers...

@LameMonster82 thank you for your guide.

Everything went well on LMG710EM running G710EM20d_00_0905.kdz (POC).
The only issue I had was Magisk Manager not starting - it was "hiding" or "minimizing" without the possibility of opening it. I downloaded and installed the newest version from Magisk site and everything works fine now.

Thank you @LameMonster82 for sharing your hard work with the community. Will you be continuing to update this thread? I notice from the link posted by @odicamillo that the latest firmware is v20j, do you have any plans to create a pre-patched magisk boot image for this firmware too?

V20j is the latest firmware for models sold through O2 in the United Kingdom (region O2U on the lg firmwares site). V20d is the latest firmware for UK phones that weren't sold through a carrier (region GBR). I bought a second hand phone that has this FW, should I cross-flash it to V20d before flashing the V20d boot image? I suspect the answer is yes, but just wanted to check if anyone else has gone through this process.

[EDIT] I'm too impatient and couldn't wait ;)
With my phone on software version v20j I cross-flashed to v20d using this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g7-thinq/how-to/cross-flash-oreo-pie-firmwares-lg-g7-g7-t3915303
Then I unlocked the bootloader.
https://developer.lge.com/resource/mobile/RetrieveBootloader.dev
Then I followed the instructions given here to root using the v20d boot image.

Everything worked fine. Thanks to all the devs.

The files are encrypted and specific for that ime and Serialnumber. You can't share them

First of all, you can't use other peoples "unlock.bin" don't try it.
Secondly, I suggest you to email "[email protected]" in that you have 710EM version and it is unlockable, even if you're in an unsupported country.
Believe me, I unlocked mine with the same way.

Hi,
I also brought my LMG710EM to the 20d, it was unlocked and rooted before. Then the root binary for the 20d is flashed. However, then root was gone. So I updated the Magisk app, then created the magisk_patched.img from Magisk and tried to flash it from the computer using fastboot. As I said, the phone is unlocked, why does not flashing work?

Here is the attempt to flash:

C:\>fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'boot' (24936 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.659s]
writing 'boot'...
FAILED (remote: Cannot flash this partition in unlocked state)
finished. total time: 0.678s

Thank you in advance...
Torsten

Read the guide again. It's
"fastboot flash boot_a"
and
"fastboot flash boot_b"

Problem after root 20d

Hi, I went from 20b with root to 20d.
Everything ok, but when I install a Magisk module and restart the phone hangs on the LG logo. Forcing the shutdown and when you turn on a message it says that the files are corrupt and I have to reset the phone. I tried 2 times but the result is the same ..
How come this happens?
Thanks in advance...
