It appears that all or the majority of the rooting attempts try to connect via ADB.
My Xperia Tipo ST21i does connect via fastboot but it does not show up via ADB
I have enabled USB debbuging and phone says bootloader unlocked: yes.
Any proposals?
Does ST21i support ADB by default or do I have to make additional steps?

Its really annoying to have to wait 30 minutes for a 74mb file. Could you use github?

Help with Kyocera Hydro Air C6745

I don't know if anyone can help me or not but I am trying to root the Kyocera Hydro Air C6745. I have tried every method and looked at every post with no luck. Kingroot seems to root but only a temp root. Has anyone got a full root on this phone?

I did very method for root my phone is nokia 1 plus
but i didnt
i search internet and understood twrp and magisk is best and only method that root android pie but my phone is nokia 1 plus and there is not any twrp for it.
i have question
what do i do for root nokia 1 plus android pie?

I see versions after v33 bring support to Xperia Z2 Tablet, my mother's tablet is Xperia Z Tablet (SGP321) so it's older but anyway I don't see this model on the list of the first post, so I not convinced this root can apply...

Hello, I want to root my old Sony xperia U to give it to kids to play with, but all links for download are not working. Does someone have files and is able to share it/upload it ? I have stock 4.0.4 but google play is not working so I'm not able to download any game.

    Hi,

    i made a small script which is able to root ICS/JB phones. It uses a remount timing issue in Androids "adb restore" service.
    So normally it should work on nearly all ICS/JB devices, for some it won't but the idea may work in a slightly modded version :)

    There is a case for Xperia T and Xperia S,P etc. phones, this phones run ICS but don't have android's native restore with adb, Sony has added a own custom "Backup&Restore" app, the script handles this cases too, just choose the correct option!

    It works here, have you started the restore app ? On Xperia S you have to start the "Backup&Restore" app from menu and select the backup to restore manually.

    Summary
    • wait for the Backup agent runing by check the magic file "file44"
    • check /data/local.prop correctly
    • does not iterate forever.
    • does not install busybox
    • both win32 and Linux supported by same script. (the win32 port of busybox is used made by pclouds https://github.com/pclouds/busybox-w32 )

    Changes
    * update rooting.sh script
    * fakebackup-sorted.ab added for experiment (files are sorted using the pax and some shell script)
    * remove needless symlink tries.
    * support "adb root" case (ro.debuggable=1)

    For which phone? IF you are using a Xperia NXT you have to choose option 3) LT26,LT22 etc.
