I tried with kingo root beta and Kingroot (which i used to root 5.0.2) but no luck . I need this to install recovery/ xposed ....
Hope to hear good news from you, pals

If you have unlocked bootloader, simply download the superSU binaries to your phone and flash a KK custom kernel and flash the SuperSU bin via recovery. Or you can create a prerooted flashable zip with PRFCreator and flash it via recovery as well (which is what I did and root works correctly).

I've already backed up my TA partition but still wonder that if i unlocked bookloader, some sony proprietary feature like Clear Sound/ Stamina ... still work or not?
Still love the clear and simple Sony UI :D

Stamina and Clear Sound work as usual. The only thing that doesn't work is the Bravia Engine. To restore that you'd need to restore the TA partition and relock the bootloader. (You can relock the bootloader without having to worry about breaking root or recovery).

I don't think there will be a custom kernel for ZL. There has never been much development for this phone.
But we have a quite good stock firmware and we got Cyanogenmod, enough for me... ;)

What special feature would you expect from a custom kernel?
