just got my tablet a couple of days ago, still waiting for about a week before bootloader can be unlocked, anybody achieved root on this thing yet? planning to patch boot img with magisk by extracting it from stock firmware zip then flashing through fastboot after i unlock bootloader.

update:
Root achieved and everything seems to be running fine with magisk, safety net fails but is easily fixed with kdragon safeynet fix module, even have lsposed running and no issues so far

Yes, I extracted boot.img from the tgz stock ROM downloaded from Xiaomi, patched it with the Magisk app, flashed it with fastboot, and the few modules I'm using seem to be working fine now.
good to hear root is achievable, also i have patched the boot img original was 128mb ,. patched one is around 134 mb is it the same with yours? still have 3 more days before i can unlock, this waiting time just sucks

Yeah, I think a week is too long too.
The Windows file properties for my patched boot.img shows 128 MB (134,217,728 bytes).
This is consistent with the file size before the patch.
I used nabu_images_V12.5.9.0.RKXCNXM_20210825.0000.00_11.0_cn_738def3dd3.tgz.
and 23.0 magisk app in pad 5.

Will we lose L1 cert if we unlocked bootloader ? is there any method to avoid losing L1 cert ?
