Hey, I want to know how to root Moto g5 as on nougat it was so easy, but now I not able to root it.any help will appreciate.

The procedure is always the same. However, you need an unlocked bootloader to proceed. First, download Magisk flashable zip + corresponding Magisk Manager version. Then, boot into the TWRP, allow system modifications and install Magisk zip. After the successful install, wipe cache and dalvik cache and reboot to the system. At the last, install already downloaded Magisk Manager as you normally would with any other app.
