Masha'Allah awesome tool..
Finally for so much struggle I have rooted my cellphone locked bootloader with this fin9 app, I did it by hard resting the phone and then run awesome app on win 10 and boom.. it took only 3min I guess.. Alhumdulillah..
Note: When u will run this app ur phone will reboot and stuck on Samsung Note 3 logo ( I thought no.. please no.. dont go to recovery like other root methods did to me, but it will do the job) be sure u have the latest drivers installed on ur system :)

Sent from my SM-N900V using XDA-Developers mobile app

Verizon / Samsung Note 3 Rooted! Yeeha!

Guys,

That worked like a champ on my Verizon (SM-N900V) Samsung Note 3. I've been waiting a long time for this! You can bet I'll donate. Backing up, now, with Titanium Backup*Root. Once everything appears to be in order and have bootloader ironed out, I hope to put Cyanogen mod on there. Yippee!

As long as your build num is 0f1 then this will root your phone. There is no need to unlock bootloader to root. But if u want custom Roms then the bootloader needs unlocked

Can someone help me. I cannot connect my phone to my pc for some reason. I've tried everything. I really need my phone rooted soon. Is there a way to root without the pc with this method?

I'm not sure how long this thing is supposed to take, but it's been about 30 minutes now and it's still saying "root is installing please wait" and my phone is still in download mode just sitting there doing nothing. I know it says to not use the computer, but I'd rather not let this sit for the next 24 hours if I don't have to... What am I missing here?

*Update*
I gave up after about 6 hours of waiting, double checked all samsung drivers were installed and recognized by windows (from the automatic device manager after it's plugged in). Tried it again....and it froze up. So I restarted the computer, and it finally worked! Only took about 2 minutes and went very smoothly. Didn't have to touch a thing. Root is up and running and working fine for me :)

The restart must have been a necessary step for the drivers to work properly. Or maybe it's something else completely. I have no clue...don't care....it works.

I wish I could just get my phone to reboot into download mode.....mine just says that it is Flashing Device and the phone just sits there and does nothing.

im on it 10 minutes already at 26 percent is there something wrong does it take that long? oi
The root tool will see my device, says that root is installing, and then my phone restarts into download mode, windows explorer crashes, then comes back up without a taskbar, and the root tool progresses to 26% and stays stuck there. Any tips?

Same thing as pnuker is happening to me, did you find a fix?
Do we have a way around this yet that anybody can tell me about? Phone reboots to downloading screen (although download never actually starts), gets to 26% and then freezes. I have tried rebooting both phone and computer, different cords, and different USB ports (front and back) and cant get past that point. Any ideas?

Which windows are you using? If it's windows 7 that might be the problem. I've seen others comment that windows 10 worked better for them. Also, have you restarted the computer and ensured that the drivers are being properly installed in windows?

I am using Windows 7. I decided to give it a try since others have mentioned that it worked. It is rebooting the phone into download mode, then windows explorer crashes and it freezes at 26%....seems like the same issue you were having. I did check drivers and downloaded KEIS yesterday just to make sure.

Try to find a windows 10 system, that's what worked for me. Or maybe try installing win10 on a virtualbox and see if that works. I didn't need to get Kies...just the drivers that windows downloads automatically when you plug in the phone.

Yea, Windows 10 System is gonna be my next choice I guess, although I dont understand the issue that I am having. It doesnt really seem like an OS issue, but who knows.
