You need to give more information than that if you want any help. Give links to what you have tried. What version of Windows are you using? What version of Android? OF1 or OB6? What is happening when you try and root?

Missing Something

This is frustrating, I don't know which part I missed but I successfully downloaded the app and enabled USB debugger mode and it starts to work until ~26 seconds then on 27 my screen disappears and returns and when it returns my app freezes and my phone has already entered recovery mode and has to be re flashed with Odin to stock OF1 firmware. Thank God I was able to get it working again via Odin but what am I missing that I'm not doing correctly? I'm on a Windows 10 machine, running as an admin on a never before modded/rooted device. OF1 firmware with Verizon network. Tried different USB ports, no effect on root success. The app freezes every time near 27 seconds and then my phone is stuck in limbo recovery. Any ideas? I would really like to root this device to save me some $$ and love the process of modding and xda even if it gets frustrating. This is my first post btw so If i missed something don't burn me at the stake.

This is literally exactly what happens to me, when it jumps to the 3rd step it restarts and sits on the screen for a minute and then kicks into boot recovery. Pull the battery and use Odin and Flash stock back on, and then start the process over but still get stuck in the same recovery boot.

I had a hard time getting the PC to recognize my n900v because I was using a third-party USB cable. I'm now using Ecomoto SKN5004A micro USB cable. Scan completed and I'm on N900VVRUEOF1. The app didn't move past "ROOT is installing please wait" the first time. I rebooted my Window 8.1 PC and it went further the next try. I was prompted to allow UAC access for the tool at the point my Note 3 booted into Odin mode but the app was stuck at 0:28 process time. I reset the PC and my Note3. This time it stopped at :26 and didn't reboot the phone.

That is all I could ever get mine to do also. I ended up upgrading my PC to Win 10 and using the other tool instead.

Hopefully this will help you...

I had a very similar problem and solved it by :

Using a usb 2.0 cable

Using my work laptop (i5 processor) I believe speed matters for the root hack. My other pc was an old core 2 duo exact same setup and it failed everytime, so try to use a fast processor

Running windows 10 enterprise. Almost guarantee you enterprise Versioning doesn't matter but needs to be on windows 10 for sure.

Connecting my phone to the laptop and clicking "scan" in the root tool.

Clicking on the "always allow this device" pop up that shows on the phone.

Waiting until it shows a smiley face that reads unrooted.

Running "scan" a 2nd time until all the extra data fields were populated. (android version, firmware version)

Clicking "install root"

That worked for me but took me 3 days to figure it out and I almost lost hope.

Hopefully something in there will help you get it working. Also I used the latest version of the app. Not the one that was blue and said this version may not be updated Yada Yada, but the Grey box one that had the huge picture on the left and the install root button in the center of the screen down low. "OF1 only version" not the "OF1 or___" sorry it's time for sleep and don't have version numbers or links in front of me. Good luck!

Ps also make sure you right click the (.Exe) and check always run as administrator as well!

So I proceeded to use this method for rooting. In the middle of the process the phone began to reboot. It has since been stuck in recovery. Every time I select reboot system now it gets stuck and boots back into recovery. How can I correct this?

try putting phone into download mode ( vol down + home + power ). when you get to warning screen cancel and reboot.
This has worked for me in the past.

Sm-n900v note 3 5.0

Will this work for my Verizon note 3? Having a hell of a time rooting it. Verizon really jacked these bootloaders around. Can I bypass bootloader? Or unlock it another way so I can root? Thank you in advance!
