I don't understand, I installed the new version but since then, Screen2auto doesn't work anymore, it doesn't display anymore Does anyone have any information about this problem?

I have just now managed to get Screen2Auto working nicely - latest AA, and latest S2A (3.6.4).Running LineageOS 11 on Pixel 3, rooted with Magisk. I don't know if it will work on 12 or not.

I won't post here the full details of the method I used, only because of the very high chance it will be worked around, and the next we know it will stop working again. I'm really sorry about that - if I felt it was safe for me to describe how to do it, I would more than happily share - I'm not trying to be mean.

What I can say is I used a Linux program to modify the S2A APK, and I am using the latest AIO Tweaker (5.2.1). It was quite easy and only took a few seconds. No complicated editing of SQL files by hand or any such thing.

Thanks for giving some hope that this can be done again. I understand your reluctance to spell out a solution with how aggressive google is getting at banning S2A.

My main reason for using S2A was I had a task integrated into my home screen through Kustom KLWP to open and close my garage doors from further away than the 50-100' that my car can trigger it. Now that I am using Homelink which integrates into Android Auto and has this functionality, I may try to get S2A working again for S&Gs...

New version of AA AIO TWEAKER (version 5.2.2) is live on GitHub and brings the following changes:

• NEW: Tweak to forcebly deactivate Coolwalk
• NEW: Tweak to force the portrait layout (Coolwalk only)
• NEW: Tweak for activating inertial scroll
• FIXED: Bug resulting in coolwalk day-night theme being active by simply activating Coolwalk

I have an older AA AIO Tweaker v5.0.2 (even disabled aka frozen by pm) but today Play Protect started to warn that the app is harmful (screenshots attached)

I don't know if that is 'fixed" by the latest versions of AIO Tweaker?

Actually, my AA is already patched - I don't use Screen2Auto but only Fermata (to watch or better to say to listen YT on the head unit in the car)

Hence I think that I could safely uninstall AIO Tweaker (and temporarily install it again by also shortly disabling Play Protect only if/when I would have to tweak my Android Auto next time)

PS: Yeah, I've uninstalled AA AIO Tweaker and I checked, my AA still has Developer mode properly enabled (screenshot)

I'll test tomorrow if Fermata still works correctly in AA

Lol, Google really hasn't something better to do other than trying to block Android Auto's modding instead of actually making quality assurance on it and proper development. Not surprised though.

AA AIO TWEAKER was open source from day 1 and everyone can take a look at it and see what it does. It's pretty clear that it does not impact on device's security in any way.

Play Protect is one of the most useless features of Android, because it doesn't really scan apps, rather it's an act of censorship by Google. If Google doesn't like you, you make it to Play Protect's list.

I agree: third-party applications no longer work, we no longer see them in android auto launcher (obd2aa, carstream, aa mirror, sceen2auto...) even by reapplying the apps tweak.

Hello. In version 5.2.2 the activation of the bluetooth does not work either. In 5.01 if it works perfect. Screen2auto has stopped working for me, but I read that the same thing happened to everyone. Is there any solution? Thank you

My Android Auto version is 8.9.630624 and I've got the latest AA AIO with root access granted but no matter what I try to apply I get the "not successful" error message.

Any idea what could be wrong?

That’s odd. You should be good by reverting everything within top right menu. Is it the first time using AA AIO TWEAKER?

I modify the package name, still not working,I even think what did I do,again again ,install system,root phone,aaaio,aarase,aaad,install s2a with adb.all no working!

Has nothing to do with being first time user.
Not my first time and I encountered it too.
When it happens, nothing works, all you get is that error.
But the issue is not consistent, it does not always happen to me, although I must admit, it is more often than not.

Never had the issue with the previous versions.

The generic “command failed” is generic and can be related to multiple issues. In the case above, resetting everything should help.

To install Screen2auto I used several versions of AA Aio tweaker, but it doesn't work with Android 9(the application is not visible in android auto). On the other hand it works well with AAAD, it's not supposed to be the same thing? in the future it will work again with aa aio tweaker?

Hey man, great work of your. Recently the app (or any other apps like AA Phenopatcher. AAAD, KingInstaller,etc) wouldn't work (adding 3rd party apps like S2A) on Android Auto 8.0.623314 (turned on the developer settings and unknown sources), keep in mind that the app previously worked on MIUI 10.2.5.0 (Now I'm on Lineage 19.1 with NikGapps Core and Android Auto Addon). Is it related to the Android Auto version or something, if it is then could you suggest me a working version. Thank you !

Sorry for delay in reply, I've had a hell of a lot going on.

The answer is yes. You'll need to modify the package name entirely. It can be done easily in Linux by editing the apk.

I changed the app name entirely as well. One week in and all going smooth.
