lsherif and lightman33, thank you so very much.

Hummmmm......I have tried that link for many times. I use Chainfire's work to root my devices for years but I do not know why I cannot download the tools from Chainfire's website anymore since a couple of weeks ago. I used my Note 10.1 2014, Note 3 and even iPad to download and all get the same message saying that "Virus Download Blocked"...I also tried both IE and Chrome and all failed to download. I purchased SuperSU Pro long time ago.

Would anyone be willing to tell me how to download it? I must miss something or I really don't know why I cannot download it..

Thank you all.

Guys, I have a bit of a problem... just got the P607T and used the TWRP+SU to root - everything worked fine, root was in place, installed some apps... rebooted the next day and now I am stuck on the T-Mobile splash screen and the tablet won't boot... tried to repeat TWRP+SU process and also tried to install the stock recovery from OP, no luck - advise is appreciated. Some things I did:

• add an underscore to the poweron.ogg file so i don't have to hear the t-mobile jingle
• used titanium to freeze all knox related stuff

did you install xposed framework, maybe a module which is not compatible with our device ?
that said, you probably should try to look into boot logs to understand better what is the problem.

Hello I tried this method with the mj4 after the md5 tar which both passed as far as Odin wazs concerned but after rebooting, Supersu could not update binary and of course Root checker failed. I dont know what is wrong but if you could shed some light on this that would be great- I was lucky enough to save my note 3 with your stock firmware
Thanks!

CF-AUTO Root
By Chainfire
Ported To the Note 10.1 (2014 edition) By:mad:BeansTown106

First off, Huge Thanks to Chainfire for coming up with AutoRoot & for his SuperSU App

Warning: I cannot be held responsible for anything you do to your phone, rooting is optional! This Does Trip The Warranty Counter Built into the Bootloader of the Note 10.1.

How To Enter Download Mode
Method 1: in command prompt or terminal on computer enter: adb reboot download
Method 2:Turn Off Tablet, Hold Volume Down + Power. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Rooting Instructions
1.Boot into Download mode (see methods above)

2.Flash autorootp600mj4.tar.md5 with Odin v3.09 (put in AP slot, don't change any other settings, click start)
3.Let it do its trick! Confirm root!
4.Reboot into download mode again and flash the stock mj4 recovery provided
That's all! Enjoy Root!

Download
FILENAME: p600Autoroot.7z(mega)

Disclaimer: when using root apps the system will try to stop you so its recommended to freeze the knox apps with titanium backup or rom toolbox!

Please Keep in Mind i dont have this tab but would LOVE to develop on it so any donations would be more than appreciated!
if you can Donate: Here it would be preffered and leave your xda username as a comment if not here works as well

If you haven't already, pick up a copy of SuperSU Pro to support Chainfire! Well worth the $2.49!

rooted my tab a few days ago now, just do the folowing :

1) use ODIN 3.09 to flash CF-Auto-Root-lt03wifi-lt03wifixx-smp600.tar.md5 (link here : http://download.chainfire.eu/378/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-lt03wifi-lt03wifixx-smp600.zip or https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11938873/CF-Auto-Root-lt03wifi-lt03wifixx-smp600.zip and MD5 is d7cbf6de350a5a15dc6e9ac22042cf95)
2) use TB to remove unwanted apps (like knox)

I also flashed TWRP but it's not mandatory (just easier to manage roms or backups).
I want to try this with your file, have a few questions because I soft bricked my p600 with the original method a month or so ago (was able to save it).
1.) Do I use the original directions from post #1 and flash the new file you likedon't to instead?

2.) Once flashed and root confirmed/KNOX removed can I use TWRP manager to install recovery?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm still really new to rooting and about died when I soft bricked my tab.

Thanks!

1) you do not need files from post #1, only CF-Auto-Root-lt03wifi-lt03wifixx-smp600.tar.md5 is mandatory. After flashed, you can install TB and use it to remove KNOX.

2) It's easy to install TWRP, I've used 2.6.x version (file named : openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-lt03wifiue.img.tar) instead of 2.7.X which is already under active development. If I remember well, it's mandatory to boot into recovery for first boot just after flashing TWRP. This last step is very important or your tab will be downgraded to stock recovery.

good luck.

Ok I found openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-lt03wifiue.img.tar

When i'm ready to flash it, do i use odin the same way that i would use it to flash CF-Auto-Root-lt03wifi-lt03wifixx-smp600.tar.md5?

Thanks.

Afaik, it's lt03wifixx (ue for me)

Sent from my SM-P600 using XDA Free mobile app
// I attempted to use odin to flash the file. I put it in the AP slot and selected start and a few warning boxes came up on my pc and then everything on odin greyed out and didn't do anything. //

Ok I'm dumb. I extracted odin from the initial file and left .ini behind. Root checker says I"m currently rooted!

Will update in a few!

Thanks lightman!
