Hello,
I am new to the droid 2. I currently run a samsung continuum as my current phone which is very easy to root and install custom roms and all that good stuff. Recently I was able to get my hands on my friends old droid 2, he said I could mess around with it and so far by looking around on the forums rooting this device looks to be difficult. If any of you are familiar with the easy root method called super one click. I have used this before. Has anyone tried using it on the droid 2 and been successful? Currently the phone is on android 2.3.4.

Thanks.

Look at the stickies up above... Its not the easiest journey but its pretty simple..FYI
FYI .608 ROMs will work for you if your updated... That one took me awhile to figure out.. Merry Christmas

Looking around it looks like this phone is easy to brick compared to what I have came from, is there a custom recovery I can flash via Odin and then flash a rooted ROM?

menu/settings/about phone/system version
is it 4.5.629 or 4.5.621
use the correct root

magic md5 root for d2, d2g, dx, & dx2

as far as easy to brick, maybe, but it is really easy to unbrick

use flash sbf recovery image
see link in my list
