I followed the instructions step by step but when I went to install the recovery, safestrap still says uninstalled. Can you help? Thanks.

Get selinux mode changer from the play store and change it to permissive, than try safestrap

You can change the mode back to enforcing. I've never used safestrap but you should just have to download a rom to your device and flash (install) it in safestrap. Use the stock rom slot. If you're use safestrap 2.75 I think you can use alternate rom slots but I don't know for sure.

I have an issue. I downloaded the ROM, ATT modules and Super SU. I made a mistake though. I extracted the files before I put them on my SD card. When I booted into Safestrap, I did the wipe but when you go to then select the ROM zip, it isn't there because the files are extracted. If I try and boot my phone back up to retry, I get stuck at Galaxy S4 screen. What do I need to do in order to try again? Thanks.

It's not uncommon that you have to Odin back and start over again when you're first starting out. I know I've had to do that many times. I'd do that.

1) I have Safestrap and gold finger installed. Do I need to Odin stock?
2) main reason i want loki is to flash the cm12 i9505 (which supports loki but I don't really understand)
3) if anyone could please explain how to install the above mentioned rom I'd really appreciate it.

I tested saferoot on the s975L from straight talk and it installed without issue. I did a nandroid backup without issue. Not sure on installing roms yet, but it is a start I created a post in unified android development stating the result. I hope this will lead to development for this phone.
