Well, my plan was torpedoed. Instead of an SGP511, I got an SGP561. Is there a .575 kernel for this model?actually it is not needed by this method

Will this kernel work with firmware SGP521 RU-UA-KZ_1281-7867_23.5.A.1.291_R3D.ftf (Android 6.0.1)?step 1) flash Kernel 23.5.A.0.575 for TWRP boot [if you already have a listed .575 kernel, jump this step]

hi, if i flashmode (since i cant fastboot, no open bootloader, i can see no .sin file.If your bootloader is locked, you cannot use fastboot. Select flashmode, instead.
The kernel should be in ftf format, not sin. If you downloaded it from the OP, don't unpack it. Just rename its extensión from zíp to ftf. Or, if you happen to have a full ROM, in a Flashtool flashing session, exclude everything but the kernel. Another possibility is to use Flashtool's bundle creation function to turn your sin file into ftf.hi, if i flashmode (since i cant fastboot, no open bootloader, i can see no .sin file.
anyway, the walkthrough is horribly missing out key steps, so thanx for the fish.
There's a link for it in the OP!Can someone post Kernel 23.5.A.1.291 ? XperiFirm only offers fw to download
You know that you can flash only the kernel out of a full ftf file, no? Anyway, just tick all the checkboxes in Flashtool's exclusion list, including the Misc TA ones, except the kernel checkbox. It's dead, I wouldn't ask otherwise.
Download it from Flashtool, clicking the XF icon.I'm sorry but I didn't get any, I just want root and recovery on this damn tablet and been trying to make it work for whole day today![]()
Ok I downloaded it, now through flashtool I press first icon (lightening) and flash kernel from step 1 and follow step 2 and install supersu afterwards and that's it ? How do I flash 291 kernel without losing root afterwards? Just flash it like I did with current one and then flash supersu through recovery or something like that?Download it from Flashtool, clicking the XF icon.
