It's unlocked, did it today and checked. When I try through flash mode there isn't anything to select and I can't start. There's downloaded fw in a folder but that's latest one, and if I put this kernel file there it still doesn't let me select anything.
I'm downloading 23.5.A.0.575 .ftf to see if that works, if not I'm all out of ideas...

If your bootloader is unlocked, why are you using this tool? You could fastboot a TWRP img file to the FOTAKernel partition and systemlessly root your tablet through e.g. Magisk.

Because I don't know how to do any of these things and I couldn't find any proper guides or anything on how to do that stuff on here :|

That is due to the version of TWRP that gets installed for you to root.
Search for dual recovery in the forums then go to site and follow directions to install. It is very easy.
Once installed you will have a valid TWRP 2.8xx for your device and you can use fastboot to flash to 3.0 TWRP then install the RR-N Rom
If you have a Castor device as I do you may want to wait for the next Rom update. as there is a BT Headset issue for phone calls that I have
been told should be fixed in this next update. It is a great Rom

I have a solution for you. Launch Flashtool, click on the XF icon (the last one in the icons list on the top). When XperiFirm comes in, Select Xperia Z2 Tablet Castor on the left part, then SGP511 Wi-Fi, and select the only 23.5.A.0.575 ROM available for your tablet, the 1281-7858 Taiwan Customized TW one. Click on the 23.5.A.0.575 / R2D field on the right. A download window takes over. Click on Download. When the ROM is downloaded and unpacked ('Downloaded successfully' appears). Click on Close to close the download window. Then, click on the X in XperiFirm's window to kill it. Flashtool will resume its work, which will culminate with the creation of the ftf file.

To install this ROM's kernel only, after selecting flashmode and this ROM, tick all the checkboxes in the exclusion list on the right, including those Misc TA ones on the botton, except the kernel box. Only 'kernel.sin' should remain in the list of components to be flashed. Then, click on Flash.

Hope it works for you.
I tried everything but no result.. Except this method! Thank you very much!! :good: :good:

I am trying to install custom rom and TWRP's message is that my model is Z3 and stops flash. Do you know why is this hapening? It's TWRP's or kernel's problem? Do i have to flash .291 back before flashing?

I think it might be due to TWRP. The OP ported this from the Z3 thread. Anyway, it's always a good measure to flash the 291 kernel back, afterwards.

Took me a while to to get done.

FYI: I have always liked nut's dual recovery, but it does soft brick the tablet if you install it.

Went and read. Nut Dual Recovery is not comparable with marshmallow.

SGP521 Release 6.0.1 Build 2.3.5.A.1.291 (had a crazy boot loop and touch not work properly after having this tab for a while, fix is below and using this OP:good:)
  • downgraded the kernel with the .575 RU one
  • used this OP tool and booted into TWRP and flashed the fixed boot loop SuperSU zip
  • then flashed PRF with my stock UK 291.ftf, dummy SU zip and RECV4 bundled in the PRFcreator from within TWRP.
  • TWRP survives with root:cool:
