Well, I'd love for it to launch the camera from locked screen, the same as double press on power button does. Any ideas on how to achieve this?

I see no instructions as per your post
I atictually moved to a new thread because it isnt supported by this method and root is not required. All you need is bixby and tasker.

If someone here can figure out how to use this root method to launch any installed application, well, id be very interested to know how.

So by pre-root, what all do you mean? I haven't done anything like this since my s4 days, and that was mediocre at that. All I would have to do is get a root file explorer, find that file and so on? Or os there prep work to be had before hand?

My S8 has the default action for key 703 as "WINK" and not "WAKE". Not sure why.
This is caused by an automatically update for Bixby Vision today by Galaxy Apps. I had the same and had to remap as well.

It makes no different if WINK or WAKE, just change it to whatever you want to :cowboy:

Remapping it to Google Assistant (VOICE_ASSIST) means that the first button press on the home screen doesn't allow audio input?? Just doesn't hear anything. If you press it again it starts to listen... Anyone else having this issue?

I've noticed this once, but now it's magically working:eek:

Edit: I need to press two times as well to activate voice input. But not always..

I've set mine to VOL_MUTE. Also tried SEARCH and that would have been my choice if I could set a tasker shortcut as the long press action. Alternatives for long press now are the Google app, Appdialer (which is pretty nice) and Greenify

Any idea if this could be used to toggle silent mode on/ff? Loved the slider for this on the O3PT.
I'd like this too. I'm currently using bxactions to do this but I would prefer not to use an app at all.
+1
This is one convenient feature I appreciate on my past iPhones. Being able to mute/unmute on the fly when stepping in/out of the office is very handy.

Edit
Also if anyone has the immersive mode/full screen command that would be great. Id rather something like this be embedded directly in a system file vs having a program sit in ram trying to kill bixby.
