I worked on this app tonight, but found Accessibility Services add too much lag to the phone. Trying a different method.

This is a great find! AiO gestures is a large app that uses a ton of memory. With this knowledge, I will work on a custom S8 app that is much smaller and more efficient that will achieve the same functionality.

Thanks, just glad I could finally contribute a little something on XDA. I'm definitely looking forward to an app, being able to assign a long press or key combo to it would be great. I hadn't caught that AiO uses so much memory, not ideal but worth it for me since I can finally use the button to start an app with the phone locked.

Im using BxActions to lunch Spotify and would be great do this, just remapping the button (and obviusly unninstaling Bixby). Running RENOVATE ICE 3.0, the only crappy app i cannot erase its Bixby (Bixby Vision is gone).

I try remapping to MUSIC (and erasing the native music player) so system can let me choose what app i wanna use but it was worthless.

Any other idea?

I haven't had much luck setting it to function keys (F24, for example), but setting it to 'SEARCH' seemed to work well. Then use an app, I used 'All in one Gestures' from the Play Store (it has a blue icon), to remap the search button to whatever.

Is there anyway to remap Bixby to the headphone button which plays/stops when clicked once, skips a song when clicked twice and goes back a song or the beginning of a song when triple pressed.

Would be nice to enable Bixby button even when phone is in standby. For example, remapping to opening camera - works nice - and also to use it for waking up and starting camera from lock screen. Any ideas? Thx

Maybe you forgot to rename it to Generic.kl ?! And also check file permissions

I'v just "scan" the button with AutoInput log.

New Key: 1 - 27 - Camera;
New Key: 0 - 27 - Camera;

I can't "catch" this key with Tasker. I don't find how add this key... If you have an idea :good:

I edited the file without changin its file type. Hw keys are not working now. Tried to copy text, dehnhaide sent. What should be permissions and can there be some problems with encoding. Running stock s8, TWRP and magisk 13.3

Permissions should be 644. You might want to try replacing the whole file that they had attached instead of copying and pasting the contents.

How'd you get yours to work on the lockscreen? Mine prompts me to enable talking to Google Assistant using headphones.

Open assisant -> settings -> phone -> other voice settings -> hands-free -> enable "For wired headset"
Funny thought! if you want to disable assistant on lock screen and AoD (like i did), just disable both "For wired headset" & "For bluetooth devices"
