Any idea yet for a code to switch between 2 recent apps? Normally you would press the recent button twice but is there a way to make the bixby button do that?

the problem in this app is lag...when you turns on the mod you will notice it in transitions

Haven't noticed any lag. What I noticed is I've lost a lot of time using tasker tasks that launched from quick settings and had lag, all this time without knowing it was that simple.
Just an advice...when you want to start the camera by just pressing Bixby Button, be aware to hold the phone in Portrait Mode such that the effect would be 100% PURE STOCK with no lag at all! Then, after the camera has opened you can put your phone in any position you want: portrait or landscape.
Anyway, this text file has to be manipulated even more such that we can get actions like: Double Click bixby button to do something, or press Bixby Button when screen off...that would be really amazing, to open camera from screen off just pressing one handy button(Bixby button). Hope this thread will continue until we can do all we want!!!

PS: When on marshmallow, these keylayouts were hidden under some databases and there were a lot of issues with lag but now, everything turned that simple. THANKS NOUGAT!!!!
Anyone knows what does key 708 QPANEL_ON_OFF does? Is it somehow related to the fingerprint scanner gestures that open/close recent panel? Thanks

QPanel on off is to open and close the notification panel/shade.

Hi guys, I managed to get single, double and long press with different functions for the Bixby button, just thought I would share it here.

You will need root, and the latest xposed framework (88.1) installed, and then install the xposed module called xposed edge.

Good luck with that and enjoy no delay button press.

Hey community. I just figured out how to remap the Bixby button. I'm running a pre-rooted custom rom with deactivated Bixby and don't know if this is working with running Bixby. But I think it should so let's get started:

How did you get your volume up/down & power key working again?

I went straight to 'edit' on 'Generic.kl' and saved and now they've all stopped working!

Scratch that I've fixed it!

I was trying to put the Generic.kl file back to normal by putting line 703 back to default 'WAKE'

Fixed it by renaming 'Generic.kl' to 'Generic.txt', then I entered 'CAMERA' on line 703, saved, renamed it back to 'Generic.kl', then held volume down & power to reset. Ok restart all the buttons are now working again ??

Good, but i have rooted my s8 with magisk and i think that xposed don't work with systemless root.

I was using allingestures app before that for gestures.
Now I can use single app to set gestures and remap buttons.

Good, but i have rooted my s8 with magisk and i think that xposed don't work with systemless root.

It does work with magisk, I am using magisk with this method actually! Just download the xposed systemless version zip and xposed installer magisk apk, you can find it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-systemless-xposed-t3388268
Then install the apk and flash the zip, after that you will have xposed as a magisk module
I modified a magisk module to change the wink to "Search" as well if you want. I will include it in this post.

Does anyone knowes a way how to lock the orientation to with the bixby button?
EDIT:
I found an easy solution. Just bind 703 to any unused button e.g. BUTTON_1. Then use an app like button mapper and add a custom button. Now you can select Flashlight, rotation lock and mutch more. You can choose whether it should work on lockscreen or just unlocked or in a specific app.
I know it's just a workaround, but it's much better then starting Bixby and then close it again for triggering an desired action.
