[ROOT] ROOT for SM-N915FY

Before Beginning please note that this will trip your KNOX Counter!!! ​

XDA, my familly,dog,cat,bird and me are not responsible if your damage your phone. You can Brick your phone if you dont follow this steps.​

I want to share with you how we can root our SM-N915FY
CF-AUTO-ROOT dont work with 915FY so dont try this.
Go to setting/security and untick Reactivation lock.
Download Chenglu recovery for 915F. (it's the same as 915FY. Same changelist just region code change)

Download SuperSu 2.14 and put it in sdcard or internal phone
http://download.chainfire.eu/578/SuperSU

Reboot manually in download mode ( vol down+home+ power)
Open Odin 3 (3.07 or 3.09) and connect your phone. Put recovery in PDA/AP and flash.
Your phone reboot after flash success.
Reboot in recovery mode (vol up+home+power) and flash SuperSU.
Reboot phone and open google play for update of SuperSU. Update binary in normal mode and reboot. Open again google play and install busybox. Install binary .
Voila,you have successuly roted your phone.

installed cwm
opend cwm to check if it worked, then it will ask if you want to root your device just press yes.
then reboot youre device to android and then a popup will show up asking you if you want to root youre device via play store thats all.

got my SM-N915FY rooted!

I can confirm that it works.
Just a small precision it will ask if you want to root when you reboot from CWM. Dont try to find it in the option or advanced

I am brand new to the Edge... literally just got mine a few hours ago. I've been following the XDA threads for a couple days though. My phone is the N915a varient, which has the bootloader all locked up so that root is currently impossible. I'm not sure why root for the N915FY was so hard to obtain, but was it due to the same reason?
If so, would this rooting method work for the A model? I'd just go ahead and try it, but I'm not sure what would happen if it fails....

Thanks worked on mine and not (AUTROOT)
SM-N915FY-european with CWM from Odin it has been Worked fine no problems.
