I cannot make root work. My bootloader is unlocked, I flashed the insecure kernel, and when I run "runme.bat" I get several errors, followed by "done!" and still no root.

I tried restarting my PC, using different USB ports, but no luck.

One message that appears frequently is "adb server is out of date" followed by a restart of the daemon.

Any ideas?

Nevermind, 15th time's a charm. I have root now.

please post output of the script along with ur post...

also most likely u have some other ADB server running in background... kill it using Task Manager (kill the adb.exe process) before u run this...

i am saving up cash to buy the new dual/quad core devices when they release next year...

i was actually checking abt the JetStream, its a very capable device... Snapdragon S3 (MSM8260) is a powerhouse!!! but ordering a new device and getting it shipped here in India (where i live) is going to be a pain, heavy charges for shipping, taxes, customs, octroi; and some nightmare stories of things getting stuck, for months!!, at customs office...

lets see if any of my friends are coming from US in the next two or three months i might reconsider...

Ok so noob question of the day!

Where are you supposed to input the commands (such as adb reboot bootloader) to start the kernel flash process? I tried in cmd as well as terminal emulator on the tablet with no luck, what am I missing here?

some android vendors put customizations apps/bloatware in the /system folder... search for those apps and remove the apks using ROOT EXPLORER...

but before doing this take a FULL BACKUP in recovery
