0) flash back mini pro kernel
1) turn usb debugging on
2) allow unknown sources
3) select MSC mode (settings->Xperia->connectivity->USB connection mode->MSC mode)
4) and then flash .562 kernel
5) now try to root

wow, useless reply.
replying in thread in which last reply was only 17 days before is not archaeology, is called smart using of threads + where should he post if not here, since this is also for his phone?

i tried to use DooMLoRD_v1_Xperia-2011-ICS-ROOT-emu-busybox-su.zip its not success o access files :crying:

can anyone help me plz?

i need to have permission to access all files and copy them

i used all program for permissions titanum and others well but not success

I just encountered strange problem last night. I never had any problems with this toolkit till now, by the way.
Maybe it's not the issue, but few days ago I reinstalled my system (Win XP Sp3), and last night when I connected my phone attempting to root my Arc S stock ICS, script just stopped on "waiting for device" line, at the very beginning. I checked and adb drivers seems to be ok, as I can see my device in device manager. Also, Flashtool sees my phone regularly, in both debugging and flash mode.
I tried cleaning and reinstalling adb drivers, Flashtool, SEUS, PCC, but still nothing.
Whenever I run batch file, it just stops at "waiting for device".

8 minutes and nothing...

EDIT: started all over again, it worked great! in less than 2 mins!

Same , I pressed the Link for doomlord v1 thingy under Downloads , It redirected me to a page then on the page wrote Forbidden ..

Is not go Internet . In order to download the rooting kit need use internet! I only clicked the link .. Or can u re-upload the rooting kit ?

    ok guys so i was directed to this post:

    where the user rasgula has posted a rooting toolkit...

    it was slightly difficult to use for some users so i have modified it to make it fully automated with least user interaction ;) also as a bonus it will install busybox too...


    for those who dont know this is the well known old "andorid emulator" hack/trick... its surprising that Sony left those permissions on /data partitions... Dan rosenberg has posted lots of research material regarding this kind of hack for other android devices...


    Credits for this go to the person who found that this old trik/hack works on Sony's Xperia 2011 ICS firmware!


    anyways the rooting toolkit is in the downloads section below



    [ requirements ]

    1. stock ICS firmware 4.1.A.0.562 for your device
    2. ADB drivers installed (if u are not sure, then install this)
    3. the attached package


    [ READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY! ]

    This script will:
    1. root ur device using "andorid emulator" trick
    2. install Busybox (1.18.4)
    3. install SU files (ICS specific)
    4. do some checks for free space, tmp directory (will remove Google Maps if required)


    Before u begin:
    1. make sure u have installed adb drivers for ur device
    2. enable "USB DEBUGGING" - from (Menu\Settings\Developer Options\Development)
    3. enable "UNKNOWN SOURCES" - from (Menu\Settings\Security)
    4. [OPTIONAL] increase screen timeout to 10 minutes
    5. connect USB cable to PHONE and then connect to PC
    6. skip "PC Companion Software" prompt on device


    [ WARNING ]

    make sure that no other adb server is running in background (e.g.: Flashtool, PCC, SEUS) and disable any antivirus



    [ how to install? ]

    1. make sure that you are on stock ICS firmware 4.1.A.0.562
    2. download the file posted below and save it on c:\
    3. extract ALL the files in the zip
    4. now just double click on "runme.bat"
    5. sit back read the on screen instructions
    6. the device will reboot a couple of times
    7. when the script finishes it will say "ALL DONE"
    8. enjoy!
