The Knox flag only gets tripped if changes are made in the kernel, bootloader or recovery. This doesn't touch any of those so you're safe from tripping Knox.
ha ok ! thank ! ;)

i just ha ve to hope that it work for me ... without buggs or other like bootloop ,bricks with the lost of imei ... etc ...

You won't have to worry about that. All those things happen when you try to flash new roms or recoveries to a phone. This only add to your existing room and won't affect anything that would cause those errors.

The worst that would happen is it would tell you it can't root your phone and then stop, no harm done.

Thats why it's called saferoot! :laugh:

Okay so I got this to work for my VZW S4 Mini, but uh...how do I remove all this bloatware now? Or does saferoot not allow me to do that?

There are a few ways to go about it.

1(I don't recommend this). Get a file explorer with root access, I recommend FX File explorer, you'll also need to download the fx root access. With FX go to system/apps and delete the apks for all the programs you want to remove. Then restart your phone and all the bloatware apps should be gone.

I very highly recommend using these other methods and I'll explain why later.

2. Use a root file explorer like the one listed in step 1 (FX) navigate to system/apps and rename all the apps to have .bak at the end (example application.apk.bak). Then restart your phone and the bloatware apps should be gone.

3 (recommended) download Rom Toolbox (free version of you like) and use the app manager in Rom Toolbox to freeze all the apps you don't want. This will leave them in place but disable them as if they weren't there.

Search for a list of Samsung apps which are safe to remove. If I find one soon I'll post it.

I HIGHLY recommend step 2 or 3 because you have the ability to revert back to stock of you need to in order to replace the phone on insurance or warranty. If you use step one the apps are gone and getting them back may be incredibly difficult.

Here's a list from the general full size S4 about apps and whether to remove them or not.

I know there are more lists out there, I'll keep looking.
Thank you, I'll do exactly that. #3 I mean.

I have upgraded...

I am still 4.2.2 on my S4 Mini (GT-S9190), after some or other upgrade, which only difference I see are some security options in settings.
I tried rooting but it doesn't work... what can I do?

The output of the script:
Code:
---        Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Root         ---
--- Based on the CVE-2013-6282 exploit by cubeundcube ---

[*] Testing adb usability

Plug in your phone and Press any key to continue . . .

[*] Waiting for your phone to appear
[*] Your phone is detected and ready for rooting.

[*] Sending files to your device...

[*] Starting rooting program.
ro.build.product=serrano3g
ro.build.id=JDQ39
setsockopt() failed: Bad address.
this device is not supported.
kallsyms_addresses search failed.

[*] Checking if rooting succeeded
[*] Unfortunately, rooting failed. Cleaning up.
Press any key to continue . . .
I know for a fact that my device is (or was) supported. I am the one that confirmed the working of this script for my model.
ANY help will be appreciated

Are you working under Win 7 or 8? If so, did you execute the script "run as administrator"?

I tried one minute ago as admin, and the script closes itself after i press enter when it asks you to plug in your phone, as not admin it does the same as my last post
I am using windows 8.1 enterprise
