• ROOT via Magisk patched boot image

((For MIUI 12.5.7 Global RKDMIXM))

Perform at your own risk, I'm not responsible for any damage caused.

Flash Instructions for magisk root:

1. Unlock bootloader
2. Boot into Fastboot mode
3. Connect to PC and type fastboot devices
4. Once your device shows up type in the following command:

____________________________

fastboot flash boot_a boot_patched.img

fastboot flash boot_b boot_patched.img

fastboot reboot
____________________________

5. Install Magisk.apk and verify.

Make sure, the patched boot image provided here is renamed and placed in the same folder as adb and fastboot files.

Make sure your miui version is same as the boot image, or else it will result in bootloop.

  • For Passing Safety Net after rooting

(Thanks to Storm2008kr)

1. Flash riru --> (install from magisk modules library)
2. Flash universal safetynet fix --> ( https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix )
3. Reboot

Procedure for OTA update with magisk: (Thanks to @Toug )

- Allow MIUI to download the last update
- Allow installation
- Don't allow to reboot just after the update
- Open magisk
- select install Magisk (the first one)
- select the third option
- Select go (maybe wrong translation from french)
- Wait until this image appear (the first line may indicate _b instead of _a)
- Select reboot

Enjoy!

Hello,

I have added the link for Universal Safetynet Fix.

Also, unfortunately, I was not able to understand what you said in the first question. What do you mean by "show me the certificate" and also, do you want know how to run the viper4android? (Personally Dolby Atmos is more than enough). But here you can follow the steps to install viper4android --> ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-fix-100-working-viper4android-for-android-11-devices.4213647/ )

Have you enabled magiskhide in magisk settings? as well as hidden it google play services, play store and google services framework?

Even after following the above steps, if it is still failing basic integrity, please disable all the modules installed in magisk and see if the basic integrity is working.

For Universal safetynet to work, first basic integrity must be passing. Then the module fixes the cts profile.

Have you tried clearing the app data for gpay? If yes, then clear app data for playstore, google services gpay, and then reboot.
of course. what solved the issue was to enable airplane mode, wipe data for Gpay, Google Services and Google Play Store. Then reboot, enable radio (exit airplane mode) and it started to work - at least based on what Gpay is telling me. Dunno if it's actually works, will try tomorrow.

Is it working for you?
Adding a card wasn't a problem, but I can't pay with it in a shop. The terminal shows an error message...

Guys, I installed Riru and Universal SafetyNet Fix, but still cannot pass SafetyNet (even basicintegrity. and evaltype is N/A). MagiskHide is enabled and google play services is enabled in it. What am I doing wrong?
Go to magisk settings and change the channel from stable to canary then install the update after you have installed the canary update go back to magisk settings and there you will see Zgysik enable that and denylist then go to configure denylist and do the same steps you would do for magiskhide.
    Hope it helps 😉

Will OTA updates still work/download when you're rooted? Noticed in other older Xiaomi devices that the option disappears. Just wanted to be sure about this.
I was on V12.5.8.0 ROM when I rooted my phone and only two days later got the notification for the V12.5.10.0 update. The OTA installation failed at first, but then it prompted to download the whole pack instead. So I did that and the installation was successful. The only thing to remember is that do NOT let it reboot after it's done installing. First, go to the Magisk app and install Magisk again (choose the third option which is for OTA updates), and only then reboot the phone. This way you keep the root access after the reboot.
P.S. My phone's SafetyNet was in "failed" status when the OTA initially failed for me. So maybe that was the reason for the unsuccessful first attempt. I addressed SafetyNet after the update.

That's great news, I don't mind not being able to directly install it as long as it is presented. You should be able to flash it afterwards too by renaming magisk.apk to magisk.zip

    Thanks!
