[ROOT] SGP312 FTF 10.3.1.C.0.136 Root (No need OTA)

Tool have been updated to v1.7, lost root too, I'm rerooting it now.

For those of you having this issue as I was, I just got mine to work with SuperSU. Hopefully these steps will work for you too:

-Gain root with the magical Chinese root tool
-install SuperSU
-update SuperSU binaries
-in SuperSU settings, choose "Switch superuser app"
-reboot the tablet and immediately go to the playstore and install SuperSU
-update SuperSU binaries

Let me know if it works!

This method just worked for me. It removes the chinese app automatically as well.

The procedure go get supersu also works. I am only surprises that no one achieved to develop similar process un english, but anyway it works

You better remove the attachment before the mod see it. SuperSu PRO is a pay version.

I wouldn't expect it to work on .244 as it was written for .136. See the subject line of this thread.

As alex metioned in the 2nd post it should work on .244.

EDIT: Downloaded 1.7 and it works perfectly!! Just a view seconds and all was done )) Yeahh!!

As soon as i close supersu after updating the binary it doesn't handle root request, each time i open it even without rebooting it ask for updating binary again. So i cant replace the chinese app, i understand nothing in the notification, just pressing the right button to allow access without knowing what's going on...
Hope a reflash or repair will fix this next time I'll root it and replace it by supersu

New Android user here.

How am I suppose to run this program on my Xperia Tablet Z? I didn't think android was able to run .exe files (except for some complicated process).

I am using a MAC... want to avoid installing windows but if it is needed, I guess I will go that way.

You're not, it's supposed to be run on a windows machine with the tablet connected by usb.

11 hours of not being able to root my SGP312 10.3.1.C.0.136 and this magical one-clicker does it in 5 seconds...
It worked on my Xperia Z Ultra phone, too

I was following this thread since begginning, also tried many times the trick.

This time I rebooted manually after switching app in SuperSU, then once rebooted went to play store to install SuperSU then the tablet rebooted again (thought it was the "ric file issue" so I was giving up here usually as root wasn't installed), then when the tablet was on again I went to play store again to install SuperSU.

That means I had to install SuperSU two times to finally get it working, first try didn't install altought the tablet reboot...! I had to re enable USB debug mode in dev options once supersu was installed, don't why the option was turned off ?!
