Havin troubles after using VRoot 1.7.0

Hi.

Just used Vroot 1.7.0, and everything worked fine, gained root acess. But now i have network issues, and cant acess the play store. Tried to empty out data on playstore app, but does not work
any ideas?? PLEASE

kingoroot doesnt work with SGP311 .136, gives me script error. very slow.
VRoot 1.6 worked perfectly.

Ok so all is good with SU in titanium backup etc,

Foldermount causes reboots and the fix listed in the forums does not fix it on this build
and how do I install an actual recovery like TWRP or CWM3

For those of you having this issue as I was, I just got mine to work with SuperSU. Hopefully these steps will work for you too:

-Gain root with the magical Chinese root tool
-install SuperSU
-update SuperSU binaries
-in SuperSU settings, choose "Switch superuser app"
-reboot the tablet and immediately go to the playstore and install SuperSU
-update SuperSU binaries

Sorry for my english.
I'm new on Android procedure.
If I root my sgp311 and in the future I would go back to unroot state (for ex. to send my device for warranty repair or similar),assuming the device is working,how I have to do to return at the original status?
Need to make a particular procedure or is needed a factory reset only?
With root enabled,the original software upgrade are working or they will be loose?

Given you're using supersu to manage root, it's got an option that completely removes root and removes itself

Mine (wifi only) have 4.2.2 and there isn't 4.3 under my software update tab.
Do you have the wifi+lte version or wifi only?

I got the update via PC companion yesterday. I created the FTF file for the WiFi only 32GIG version SGP312.

Cant really comment on what changed except for UI but the tablet definitely feels smoother and better. Didn't find any bugs yet with it.
I don't want to go back to 4.2.2 but I will if root doesn't come out for it.

Trojan Horse?

Hi. I have an SGP311 16gb wifi US variant. I am running 4.2.2. build 10.31.C.0.136. When I installed Vroot, the avg antivirus on my computer indicated that there was a threat, namely, "Trojan horse PSW.Agent.BKM," and accordingly, I cannot run Vroot.

I googled the threat, and my research indicated that it accesses items such of passwords, etc. I was wondering if anyone has input on this issue, i.e. whether it is safe, or if it is safe, an explanation on why it shows up in my anti-virus program. Thanks!

EDIT: another xda thread having to do with Vroot and the possibility of it mining IMEIs led me to an alternative root program found here:
