Did you really have to post in multiple threads?

Either way, my reply :good:

Yeh ... i do not have any patients ... but i post in multiple threads ..because some of those threads are dead .. or at least olmost dead .. so i wanted to ask more than one time ..hahaha .. but in my case i have read your way ...and it works fine... only i did something else .. flashed a Twrp recovery then the no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0... then Magisk 19.1 and now its all good ... at first the twrp did not wanted to load or install ...but after a few times it did ... so thanx for your Reply ;)

i downloaded boot image and recovery image from firmware.mobi. what do i do next? i have unlocked, rooted and updated many nexus and oneplus devices but i was using a utility or adb for that. have not used firmware.mobi before. please point me to the right guide.
warranty is now over. n it is becoming slower. plus no way to install apps (and then any update) directly onto SD card? tab only has 16gb so it is becoming unusable as only a few apps fill it up. SD card not as useful since apps dont install on it directly. thanks.

Read the opening post - this guide is old and obsolete. Simply flash Magisk via recovery.

No idea which tablet you have, but check the guides + other threads for instructions on how to get started.

Hi, I dowload and install twrp-3.1.0-0-gtaxlwifi.img and the lineage-16.0-20190707-UNOFFICIAL-gtaxllte.zip.
I must chang in the file /META-INF/com/google/android/updater-script the first line the valores from gtaxllte in gtaxwifi.
Because with the lineage-16.0-20190707-UNOFFICIAL-gtaxwifi.zip, there is an BOOTLOOP!

The system works fine, except the HIDDEN-WIFI will not connectet.

In the Systemconfiguration, I will go to the point Network & Internet, then to WIFI, and final to the Adding Network.
In the storage networks, there are lsited my two hidden wifi-network. But this Tablet will not connecting to the networks. But it saw the networks in the nighberhood, and an connection is "possilbe" to this networks.

I think this is an smal bug, but for me, not fine, because I will not open my hidden network.

Thanks for your help. Regards tiptel170

I kinda tried flashing using the T550 tar before finding this thread and now it's stuck on the NAND write phase. Is it ok to do a force reboot and reflash this one or should I just wait? It's been stuck for 10 minutes or so already, don't think this should take so long. Any advice?

Ok, I got it working with the proper T580 tar. Should I still use the other method though?

[ROOT][SM-T580/585&all Tabs A][CF-AUTO-ROOT][Simplest method to get ROOT & TWRP ]

This is old method, not actual now. Please don't use it. Try to install magisk via TWRP.

For owners SM-T585 and SM-T580 : you can use this method https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-a/themes/mod-twrp-odin-t3650215

Hi folks . Dear @Chainfire update your CF-Auto-Root base and now we get opportunity to have root with the simplest method ! It works now on 6.0 and 7.0 stock firmwares . Sorry but knox is tripped .
    Now this works on SM-T580 , SM-T585
Complete list you can see on https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ .

    HOW INSTALL :

    BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
All downloads contain .tar.md5 files flashable in ODIN as AP.

Make sure your device is in ODIN download mode (usually you can get there by holding VolDown+Home+Power when the device is turned off), then start the included Odin file, press the AP button, select the .tar.md5 file, and click Start. You can find more detailed instructions and assistance at XDA.

A modified recovery and cache partition will be flashed, which will install (only) SuperSU, then clean-up the cache partition and re-flash the stock recovery.

For the root to work, the device must reboot into recovery. Most devices will do this automatically after flashing these files, but in case that does not happen, please boot into recovery manually.

After it, TWRP is installed via the official application https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.twrp.twrpapp&hl= very easy.

    DOWNLOADS:

    For 7.0 OS :
    SM-T580
    SM-T585
    For 6.0 OS :
SM-T585 Not links , only my archiv
    SM-T580 https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:752

    Update
Dear @Chainfire updated his thread CF-AUTO-ROOT and moved his repository to the new Firmware mobi site. Now you can configure your cf-auto-root for a specific firmware. More details and exactly on the site itself.

    New links from firmware.mobi
    For all OS.
    For SM-T580
    For SM-T585
Guide is inside archive. Read necessarily.

Sorry I do not know what you mean by OP, but I found this and is exactly what I needed: https://android.gadgethacks.com/how-to/android-basics-root-with-cf-auto-root-0167401/

    Hi,

    T580, 7.0, kernel 3.18.14-12479655, build NRD90M. T580UEU2BQL1

    I have enabled OEM unlock.

I downloaded CF-Auto-Root-gtaxlwifi-gtaxlwifixx-smt580.tar.md5, Run Odin 3.10.6, Put the md5 file in AP slot. The Options tab has Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time enabled by default. Pressed Start. The process went through and I can see the CF Auto Root log in the screen. When it finished, it rebooted. But I got the verification error below

    Verification failed

Unable to restart your device. The integrity verification has failed. You need to reset your device to factory default settings. This will erase all your data.

At the bottom is the reset button. I really don't want to lose all the data. Is there any way to recover?

Or is there any way to connect to the tablet to retrieve some file? There is just one folder I really need but it needs root.

I tried to boot into recovery. It shows a logo and "installing system update". A few seconds later the logo tilted and says "no command" and it entered into recovery.

    At the top:
    Android Recovery
    samsung/gtaxlwifixx/gtaxlwifi
7.0/NRD90M/T580XXU2BQE7 ---- this is different from my build version T580UEU2BQL1
    user/release-keys

    At the bottom
Successfully verify for dmverify hash tree
    E:failed to find /misc partition

I wiped the cache and rebooted. Same verification error.

I then used https://desktop.firmware.mobi/device:752 to configure an CF-AUTO-ROOT package, download it, and Odin flash it again. When it reboot, I can see the red line on top:
    RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
It did not go through the script and the device boots normally with the verification error.

    Please help

    Thanks
Flash the stock recovery from firmware.mobi to get your device booting then install twrp and root with magisk.
