Okay, I'm now I'm pretty late on this. Most links I found doesn't work anymore.

I'm trying to get root on my Mate 9 MHA-L29. The bootloader is already unlocked and I'm on OpenKirin's Resurrection Remix rom.

I used TWRP 3.2.1-0_OREO.img, then flashed the last version of SuperSU you linked here:

That supersu doesn't remove encryption.
If you want to decrypt, let me know and I'll upload.

And the flash worked without errors.
But when I reboot, the SuperSU App still say "Root undetected".

Also in your first post you reference https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-how-to-root-mate-9-decrypt-data-t3569986 with is now closed and all links are dead. So I don't know how to obtain those Public_data.zip and Full_HW_data.zip

You're on Treble. Anything you find here is for EMUI. I suggest asking in Openkirins support thread (if available) as the instructions might differ from installing on EMUI.
I suggest ditching SuperSU though, it's been discontinued. Use Magisk instead.
