Dialler crash all the time can't make call

install google dialer it fixes the crash ( you can switch the phone dialer in setting / system apps / phone )

As far as I know, it does the exact same thing as the ADB command (except through an app).

if it behaves like adb wm size 20160x3840 then the problem is that some VR apps (the only scenario where 4k on 5.5" makes sense) display VR incorrectly, some VR apps are fine though. still no way to get 4k that will work on all VR apps ? thanks

Sorry was off a bit from XDA, and forgot about this thread since I'm not sure it is really popular. And I switched to another non 4K device..

It said that the newest file couldn't be found (error: 410)?
I tried the older version (1.1) And the program doesn't seem to do anything, is there a way to check?

Dumb question but your phone is correctly rooted ? Or have you gave the app superuser permission ?

Or/and are you on 9.0? It is possible they changed stuff related to user storage.
Is the app asked you permission to use storage ? <- said crap, forgot, no need storage permission when just using user storage

Probably, I never tested on 9.0 and don't know what changed, but it is weird it breaks like this.

I think I can't do much about this, and this is probably same issue as the dialer.
Those apps are just not tested on 4K resolution or are just designed to run on 1080p. :/

I will reinstall Android Studio and stuff, and try to recompile it targeting 9.0.
I will need someone to test because I don't have rooted XZP here.

I updated the project to Android 9 SDK.
Can someone try it ?

Btw, I f* lost my original keystore so I had to create a new one.
You must uninstall previous versions before trying to install 1.3 or Android will refuse to update it.

The notfication popup displays something when you try to change the resolution ?

And to be sure: using a terminal with your computer to change the resolution manually still working with 9.0 ?

This app works on pie.
Resolution change works, dpi doesn't.
But you can go to settings and change font and screen size, or developer's settings.

Yes, it is one of the goal of this app, being able to switch back to 1080p without a PC to use apps that doesn't support 4K.

The phone app is the most common known issue.

There is an 4k-dailer.apk which fixes this problem. Also works when you switch to 1080x1920 back.
