Model: E2306 (boot image link is broken)
Android version: 6.0.1
Build number: 26.3.A.1.33

According to Sony's website I cann't unlock the bootloader. Do I need to FIRST unlock it (somehow) before trying any fastboot commands? 'fastboot devices' shows my phone.

I would like to know if someone recently has unlock bootloader & root the device .... I don't need TWRP, just root to remove unwanted apps.

Don't want to brick my phone, so before any rooting procedure I would like to hear from the experts.

You need to unlock bootloader first. My previous phone was same model like yours and was rooted successfully. Be aware that during bootloader unlocking process your phone will be wiped, so backup your data first.

So, as far as I know, according to this thread, all I need to do is:

fastboot flash boot boot.img

Also, TWRP is optional, right? ... I just want to keep using the same stock room.

Probllem is boot.img link is broken for E2306.

I dont want to risk using another boot.img ... Does anyone have boot.img for E2306?

More info:
1- I do have "Enable OEM Unlock" active.
2- In "Rooting status" I have: «Bootloader unlock allowed: No»

It's better to have image for your model E2306, there are some images that are compatible with E2306, but you need to check in this forum or to use SkyMelon kernel.
