Hi everyone !
I did flash it on my 3G/16G model and it works fine ! Thanks a lot !!

Best regards,
Philippe

EDIT: Just i didn't used the scatter file given, because it might not suit my model. I used the one given with the S7_3g_20161219205038_v1.3 firmware. I can download it somewhere if someone needs it.
Cheers, I've just got my golden 3g/32gb yesterday. I now notice how many apps use root.
I'll give this a go over the weekend.

Ok I've got the scatter & splash tool up & running but I'm having great difficulty getting the drivers & recognising the phone.
Device manager says error code 10 cannot start the device.
Any one some tips or a up to date tutorial all the ones I've found are for mtk65xx

EDIT: deleted my xiaomi adb driver - Device manager shows the media tek preloader USB driver but it still doesn't recognise in win 10 and sp flash tool

Windows driver signature must be turned off before installing mediatek preloader drivers. You can easily find auto install preloader drivers for Windows 10 searching on Google

Cheers,
I've got the drivers installed now, but when I plug in the phone it gives error code 10 cannot start the device.
I think there might be a conflict, I've tried as many fix-its as I know but nothings worked.

Yet.

Is there a way via adb or fast boot?

If you want the recovery just boot to fastboot and type "fastboot flash recovery yourimage.img"

Finally got root by using a friends laptop. Using the 4g twrp on a 3gb phone.
My laptop has some weird conflict I couldn't resolve.

root with supersu 2.79 SR3 is always systemless ... so what are you asking for?
Supersu System Mode is possible, but non suggested (bootlooop issue)
https://xdaforums.com/apps/supersu/v2-64-2-66-supersu-mode-t3286120

I must not have understood everything :).
I would install the systemless version of xposed with Magisk and phh's supersu to enable/disable the root to update the phone.

I would like to be able to activate and deactivate the root when I need it

But I did not understand the process very well

Even with sr3 the same message:
Invalid OTA package, missing scatter. I´m Running the latest OTA-ROM.

Supersu need TWRP to flash.. not stock recovery:

this is stock recovery that only work with official signed ota packages

Can I use twrp to flash the latest firmware update?

And I guess flash SuperSU again after?

Sent from my S7 using Tapatalk

No, firmware package is only for flashtool.
if you want to update it, you need to do via OTA (so automatic update from old rom of january to this new rom of february), but after removing root and flashing again stock recovery on your S7.

I don't think I've down graded or unrooted before.

Please could you correct this is wrong.

Back up via twrp existing data
Use flash tools to flash stock recovery.
Reboot and use ota to install Feb firmware.
Check everything is OK.
Use flash tools to reinstall twrp
Use twrp to install SuperSU
Use twrp to restore the data that's just been backed up.
?
My biggest problem is I'm on the road and I know the laptop I have doesn't see the phone using flash tools - I had to use a friend to do the original rooting.

I'll have to wait until it can be fine via twrp or I get access to another laptop.

Hi,
I identified the source of this problem.
The flashtool shows, that the download of recovery was done, but it did not flashed the file. The 4th attempt worked.
Thanks for support.

The touch screen works with this TWRP??

    Thanks

Not Yet.. is necessary a kernel fix to have touch working.
You can use a workaround, using an OTG mouse to operate with TWRP

    3) Boot your device into Recovery mode (TWRP) by pressing Volume UP + Power button.

i't not correct, please change in:
    3) Boot your device into Recovery mode (TWRP) by pressing"Home Button + Power"buttons same time until Boot Menu Selection.
