I have the Chinese version of the Yoga Book which did not come with Touchpal so I did not see this problem. I use SwiftKey for predictions and autocorrect with the Halo keyboard.@ jc073
I have the samest Problem, that the TouchPal was stopped. Is not a big Problem. I have look to the TouchPal.apk. The APK was deletet. I dont now why.
I have download an older Version of YB1-X90L ROM (Update) and go into the ZIP and look for the TouchPal.apk. I have extract/copy this this APK and install new.
All Problem´s loose. The Touchpal now are running perfectly.

latest version of magisk (v.10.2.) does work. if you use the newest version to gain root, you don't have to install 2.phh-supersu-magisk-r259.zip afterwards because it's already included in the newest version. This for the record, but it might help others. Tried and failed yesterday to root YB using the latest version of Magisk, v.10.2. Tried again today using the version supplied by danjac, v7. This succeeded. I have YB1 X90F, which might or might not be relevant.
As for TouchPal, I simply disabled it. Now that I have root, I will uninstall it and lots of other junk.
Once again, thank you danjac for providing us with the tools to allow us take control of the YB.
I had a look but it looks like there isn't a version of xposed available for 64 bit Intel processors, so it doesn't seem like we'll be able to put xposed on the Yoga Book.Has anyone with root access already tested if xposed is working? Can't wait to have all the beauty of xposed on this nice device :fingers-crossed:
Phone call function after rooted?
I normally root all my Android devices, except my TV, my shield Android TV and my Yoga Book. I don't see a reason to do it. Can you tell why it's recommendable? I normally do to remove bloat software or to install other os.Ok this process worked for me. I used 10.2. I think it was easy for me because I am a Linux user. The whole process is 5 mins (without the back up stuff). @reiter123 s adb backup method works, at least better than nothing, some apps did not really brought their settings but again it is much easier than setting things up again.
I recommend going root to any non root user really.
