Is there a way to root the sprint htc evo shift without voiding warranty?
(Android version gingerbread 2.3.4, htc sense 2.1)

I just don't get it man. I understand you're new and all but you've posted about 5 threads with these questions that have been answered a thousand times before. It's getting really annoying. A search button and common sense goes a long way.

common man!!! just root it warrenty doesn't mean anything you can put s on back on and most of the time they don't look at those things if anything were to happen take it back with s on unrooted and your good stop being a ***** sorry about my french but really you are!!!

HammerStrength I'll give you the benefit of doubt because your newly registered round these parts.

But I will give you a little XDA advice. Search. Its XDA's first rule and it should be followed. If you watched the XDA into video (which you can view HERE) you'd see that 99.9% of the questions you could ask, have been already asked and answered. Just take 30 seconds before you create a thread and do a quick search.

To answer your question. Yes you can follow this guide HERE. You'll be able to restore your handset back to a warranty serviceable state afterwards.

Please don't ignore this advice or more formal action may be needed, and we don't want to go down that route.
