No, extract it a run the batch file. I think you need the stock recovery tooIs this cfar fladhable by twrp
You can flash supersu in twrp. I just did to update to 2.25. But I did have a problem updating recovery in twrp. That doesn't flash.Somewhat dumb question - I'm used to Nexus devices prior to Lollipop that were a lot less tedious to root. A new TWRP arrived for volantis, so I flashed that. I also mistakenly thought that since I had already ran CF auto root I could just flash the new SuperSu via TWRP, updating from 2.20 to 2.25. Now root is broken. But my main issue is as follows - how am I supposed to update SuperSu to the latest beta for testing since I'm using CF auto root? I want an install to /system, not just updating the app via data. And will this work with TWRP. I plan on using OmniROM once nightlies arrive for the Nexus 9, whenever that comes. I hope Google hasn't made it so TWRP and SuperSu can easily be updated without issues. Any way to update SuperSu for testing without having to wait for new CF auto root zips?
You can use flashify to update TWRP recovery. You can flash supersu in twrp. I just did to update to 2.25. But I did have a problem updating recovery in twrp. That doesn't flash.

Yea. Have to use 3rd party script or fastboot. It can't overwrite itself. It is occupying the partition. Would crash in the middle if it allowed. You can use flashify to update TWRP recovery.
Only onr I'm having a problem with is TIBU. Like SU doesn't see the call. No log or denial.I don't know how you guys got it working. I'm on the latest factory image. I ran CF auto root just fine, but then I rebooted and went to flash the SuperSu update to 2.25 via TWRP, and apps just freeze when I try to grant them root now. SuperSu itself will open and I can configure it, but it never comes up when I should be getting an access prompt from using an app requesting root. The app and SuperSu just seem to freeze.
After flashing 2.25 with TWRP I had to go into SU settings and uncheck and recheck the Enable SU checkbox. This reset SU and is now working as should. For those who installed SuperSU 2.25 with TWRP, how did you do it?
I tried with TWRP 2.8.2.1 using the zip file and the binary did not update. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: I also upgraded from Q -> R via factory system image. The OTA sideload would not work as stock recovery was hosed.
This did the trick for me. Here take my "thanks"After flashing 2.25 with TWRP I had to go into SU settings and uncheck and recheck the Enable SU checkbox. This reset SU and is now working as should.![]()

Smashed down on the mighty Nexus 9
That's interesting. I've flashed 2.25 twice now without any issues. The first time was on a clean install of 21Q and the second time on a dirty install of the factory images of R. Both times 2.25 installed without issues. Twrp 2.8.2.1After flashing 2.25 with TWRP I had to go into SU settings and uncheck and recheck the Enable SU checkbox.
