Root?

Anyone here tried to root it yet and can recommend a method? Mine is arriving today and I'd like to root it before heading off on holiday tomorrow. Mainly like to root it so I can use titanium backup to get all apps and their data from the op3.

No root without TWRP, unless someone unpacks ramdisk and injects.

Unlock for now as no twrp available yet, I have a thread running in the guides section for details

For now, I suggest unlocking your bootloader, and waiting for TWRP. I don't think you'll have to wipe then.

Hopefully we get a recovery before next week, I'd actually like to use this thing instead of waiting for root.
