I am pretty sure I already know the answer, but I am going to ask anyway.

Has anyone found a way to get the battery to show 100% on the rooted Snapdragon version yet?

The battery percent doesn't bother my much, but when I check the battery stats it always shows my phone as being on battery, never plugged in and the screen on time never resets so I have no actual idea of my battery stats.

I don't want to give up my root, but having accurate battery stats is important to me.

Thanks.

Sorry, this was meant to go in the S8 + questions and answers forum.

Can this please be moved there?

Thank you.

I'll save you the trouble..

Nope.

It won't happen either without a bootloader unlock, so don't hold your breath.

I get as much or more SOT than people with stock ROMs and full charge though, so I don't personally really care lol. 80 is the new 100 ;)

Also jfyi this is like the #1 most asked root question these days so I bet even with a short time on the search engine and you can find out if there are updates on this. Frankly it would be front page news if it happened so I wouldn't worry about missing it lol

That is pretty much what I figured.

Thanks

I was definitely getting only 80 PCT now that I've gone back to stock I can tell

I wonder if this battery deal has something to do with leftover note7 code when they released the update to only allow it to charge to 80 PCT. Seems too much a coincidence

The s8 kernels arent the same linux kernel version base as the note 7, which means they had to start over applying their patches from a fresh new kernel. Nothing there to leave behind
