OK, I just rooted my Sprint Galaxy S3 today so now I have a question.
I want to also see what i can do to extend the battery life. Any suggestions?
My main reason for wanting to root was so I could tether it with my new ASUS Transformer Infinity. I've got that worked out and it's great.

Have a look in the roms section. Many of these roms will increase battery life. I'm using Blazer and I'm quite happy with it. Though I'm looking to get into jellybean soon. Flash at your own risk! Though if you got through rooting I'm sure you will be fine :).

Other things you can do is switch off anything you arent using. GPS, BT also have a look in accounts and sync in your phones settings. Don't sync anything you don't want synced. Anyways thats all I usually do.

far far away
If I am not using them I toggle GPS and WIFI off, that helps me extend battery life. As previously posted check out some ROMs I'm particularly found of clark44's FreeGS3, for me it provides the best battery life so far

OK, I'm a total newb to all this rooting & flashing ROM stuff. Yesterday's S3 and the TF700 was my very first time ever.
Question about the different ROMs - Do you lose any functionality like WiFi or anything else when flashing these different ROM's?
If so, I'll just live with what I have.
Thks for the help~

Going with the most popular roms you should be fine, everything should work and you might even find that your phone is faster. Roms like Blazer or FreeGS3 are a good place to start imo.
