On your firmware (v9.4.1_20191021.093450_TW) you can get root by running the command in the terminal

run-as root

And that's all.

I have an Allwinner T8 car tablet with Android 9.0.1 (2019-06-04), is possible to update it to a newer version today? I had troubles understanding this so far

I´ve done all steps to root my HU with Magisk, but my HU don´t flash the damn file b1604ca8-7757-11e7-906d-3390eed0c0c2
i think there is a check inside. It´s the same as with your old file that i become from you for about 1 year

Place the file in the root folder of the usb flash drive.
Settings - Car settings - System update - select usb

I ´ve done this many times, also with original updates (works), but the rooted files don´t work, i can´t flash this. First time i become a error (can´t read it was too fast), after that the HU ignore the file. When i flash a original file its works. I tried with your old patched files and with my one and magisk.

After applying the patch, do you encrypt the file using the kaier support tool?

Install on HU magisk.
Copy boot.img to usb stick.
Insert usb stick into HU.
Apply patch to boot.img using magisk manager.
