Is there no way to change hostfile on Android 11?
Twrp doesn't work and systemless hosts don't work

Wow dude I think you are ready right!Said it before, try an old version of adaway. Seems to work for me.
I commented this on the P5 thread about rooting just before I found this thread. But I think it might have happened to me on my P5 as well. It was on the charger and when I went to use it, it was unresponsive just like all of the threads on here have said. I'm going to see if it ever happens again after removing systemless hosts.I don't understand this BS. I'm running systemless hosts on Pixel 5 and have no issues. Something not right with 3XL.
John Wusky ain't doing Jack about it
Have you tried the Kirisakura "test" Kernel? I've only had 1 freeze since flashing it 2 weeks ago and I have Magisk Canary, systemless hosts enabled with Adaway 5.Did anyone get this resolved? I still have freezes.... Usually involving charging it phone apk. I have reset phone, clean install to no avail. I still have magisk canary installed but do not have systemless installed. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I may uninstall magisk and restore stock boot.img over the weekend to see if magisk is the culprit. Thanks

I had the same issue with stock kernel so I tried the "test" Kirisakura kernel ver. 2.1.5 from @Freak07 and all is good now. He explains why it may be happening in this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83681085&postcount=2824Currently experiencing the same thing, and I'm kind of losing my mind over it. I also use Nova, but I don't have any Magisk modules installed, just Magisk itself for root. But I have noticed charging seems to be what kicks of the issues.
At this point I'm considering just going back to full stock with no root to see if that fixes it. It seems to be taking more and more restarts to get it back to working now as well.
I'm on ElementalX for my kernal, so it doesn't appear to just be a stock kernel problem unfortunately.I had the same issue with stock kernel so I tried the "test" Kirisakura kernel ver. 2.1.5 from @Freak07 and all is good now. I also use Nova and Magisk but I use the Systemless Hosts & Active Edge modules and have no problems.
Point is, stock kernel has commits that @Freak07 reverted. Not sure what @flar2 did to tweak the stock kernel, but if he didn't revert the commits that @Freak07 identified, you'll end up having the same problems. Try the Kirisakura test kernel and let us know if it helps.I'm on ElementalX for my kernal, so it doesn't appear to just be a stock kernel problem unfortunately.
oh sure, I get what you're saying now. I'll give it a shot
