Desertway,
If in fastboot/bootloader the command is "fastboot devices" to see if the PC recognizes your phone. The output should show the device number if it's working correctly.

Make sure fastboot.exe is in the path or directory you're typing from - normally the same as directory with adb.exe.

Thanks. I tried that, in the correct directory, and there were no devices listed. Also, my phone does not show up in Windows device manager when I'm in Bootloader mode.

Are you positive it's in bootloader/fastboot mode? What are you doing to put phone in bootloader mode? I know the button combinations can be a PITA and confusing :) .

Try
"adb reboot bootloader" from normal mode command prompt.

Have you ticked the enable OEM unlock on the developer options?

I'm hoping for some help in rooting my Elate. I was able to get the unlock code from Huawei. I downloaded the ADB and Fastboot drivers from the Android Tutorials page.

ADB recognizes my device when in normal mode. But when I reboot into Bootloader mode, the device is not recognized. It does not show up in Windows device manager and the command "adb devices" is null. I can't get past this point which is clearly a driver problem.

I also have installed and uninstalled Hi-suite a number of times.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.

You were so right! I was in the wrong place. It's good now...unlocked, twrp installed and rooted. I was really in over my head here, so thank you for your clear instructions. I now have my beloved Dolby Atmos working as well as Xposed.

Much gratitude.

Yes, I did manage to get that bit straight :)

Thanks.

@Desertway,
Showing gratitude to XDA posters = hitting the thanks/thumbs up button for posts that help you ;) Glad you got it working. I'd much rather type commands than press button combinations - especially when the USB cable must be connected anyway as in the case of doing this via adb or bootloader.

Thank you, as i understand it. to uninstall just need to add "uninstall" anywhere in the filename and flash again. :highfive:
Ah. That was true for a different version I tried, I didn't realize it would work for this as well. I'll give it a shot if something goes wrong. Thanks.

Just got the Elate and wanted to clear up a few questions.

unlocked with no issue.

Also please make a backup of your own boot.img as soon as you flash TWRP before flashing the patched _boot.img provided
Just wanted to confirm the cmd is the same as XT2 "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p35 of=/external_sd/boot.img" ?
USERDATA: dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/userdata | bzip2 -9f > /external_sd/userdata.img.bz2
SYSTEM: dd if=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system | bzip2 -9f > /external_sd/system.img.bz2

I got tired of seeing the error in twrp_v3 about not mounting patch_hw and fixed it ->> Here
you can unzip it and flash it to recovery with TWRP or fastboot
Does twrp_xt2_v3.img needs to be flash prior to flashing recoveryV3_Fixed.img? im they are they same but just wanted to confirm.

looking forward to your debloated rom.

Thanks!

you can flash recoveryV3_Fixed.img same as any recovery with fastboot or TWRP

Here's the Rom I promised you >
Elate Custom Rom.zip

It still needs a little work but I'm using it now without any problems
I do recommend a Clean Install including formatting Data before flashing it the first time
3) Go to Settings check Use rm -fr instead of formatting / Wipe / Format Data / Type "yes" to confirm

You are awesome! is that clean or with the patched boot.img?
Its debloated and rooted

I updated the first post and Added My CleanRom.v2

The CleanRom fixes some issues with the Elate Custom rom (removes Deezer and others)
It seems the app that installs the after bootup Bloatware is called DT Ignite, So I removed the Ignite folder from system/priv-app
all should be good now

It Seem the setting that installs them is hidden in the encrypted /data partition that is created on first boot and I'm not finding a way to remove it (yet)
Sweet. I will be installing that today for sure. the only thing on on custom rom that is useless for me is "Deezer".
amazing that you improved even on this rom.
Thank you!

Edit: keep getting this error when trying to download
OOPS!

no mirrors found.
Edit2: working now. Thanks!

Amazing, fast and smooth. If you find the time i would love to see a cleanrom of the b130 XT2 as well from you. :fingers-crossed:
