Here's an odd question for you:

Would I be able to use this ROM on an H1711 (non "z" variant)? I'm thinking of buying one on Ebay because they are cheaper than the H1711z; though I'd be using it on Cricket. Your ROM looks like it has more bloat removed and less unneeded stuff put back in (referring to "StockXperience" ROM).

Okay. Thanks for the quick reply!

One more question, if that's okay.

My wife has the H1711z and it's a pretty good device for the price (hence why I want to get one as well) be she has issues with the stock Huawei SMS messaging app - she's tried to install the standard google one, but still has issues with not receiving texts occasionally from people (even with good service) - so I'm wondering, is there an easy way to remove it completely from this ROM before I flash it and install an alternative? ...Just to be sure there won't be any conflicts between multiple SMS apps.

Removing the stock SMS app is never a good idea. Facebook messenger and messenger lite are decent alternative.

EvolveSMS is also a good app

Is there anyone it there that happens to have the latest security update? I totally bricked my phone and can't find the latest update anywhere. It won't let me use the one on here.

Yeah, my phone did an auto update after I did that then I was stupid and flashed a ROM after I unlocked the bootloader again and now the phone doesn't boot so I need the latest update. It says I can't use rollback now when I try to flash that. I already tried contacting Huawei and they said they couldn't give it to me so this is my last hope. I'm willing to donate if anybody has it or can get it for me.

flash stock recovery > factory reset
and do the dload update again
theirs no real rollback protection for dload that's the whole propose in having it

I didn't think there was until I had it happen
The phone doesn't boot but I am able to force e-recovery to try to flash it. I haven't tried in a week, so I'll try it again. I just really don't care for this Moto E5 I got to replace it and miss root and messing with stuff.
