anyone that could help me out with figuring out what to do now i would appreciate highly!!

I would find and download the Clockwork Recovery app CWM choose your phone and install it then search around the web for Roms, as for the xposed don't EVER install anything that's not compatible with your device that's what leads to bricks

yes, can be downloaded online or from google play it is a rom toolbox app flash roms/recoveries but Always make a backup of your Stock recovery.img just in case anything does go wrong
ok i got rom manager which is developed by CWM devs.

it tells me to set up cwm or whatever and to pick my device.. but the galaxy grand prime isnt listed.. and idk what stock recovery image means or what flashing means or what to do if anything does go wrong

here let me walk you through it so CWM isnt compatible, delete it. Then go to the Play Store a pick up TWRP Manager and once installed choose your device the grand prime in this case then click "Recovery Version to Install" there will be a list of versions click the latest one (all the way at the top) once youve done that click Install Recovery this will install the recover then once the recovery has installed dont click reboot, instead go to the sidebar scroll down to backup then uncheck all the boxes except recovery.img and boot.img once you have those you can go back to the sidebar then Reboot then Reboot to Recovery your phone should reboot into recovery dont mess with anything if you dont know what it is you could brick your device *im not responible for any damage done to your phone your doing this at your won risk* i also wouldnt recomend you do this if you do not know alot about tinkering with a root
