Since EmUI isn't rootable yet, you have to solutions:
Flash "Intermediate" back through normal upgrade procedure. Root it, change build.prop, flash B226, then flash B229
OR you could flash CM or MIUI through CWM. Then change build.prop. Then flash B226, then B229.

Yes. Since EmUI is not rootable (at least b130 isn't) you can't change build.prop. Therefore you must flash a firmware that is either rooted already, or rootable, This must be done through custom recovery (CWM or TWRP) in order to change the build.prop to flash the Huawei FW of desire.

Noob to Android, Want to Load Google Apps to Ascend P1

I've been considering switching to an Android phone from my iPhone 4. Fortunately, my Chinese mother-in-law gave me a Huawei Ascend P1 so I can give it a try without buying a new phone. Unfortunately, it's a Chinese market model, so it does not have the Google Play Store or any other Google apps.Based on what I've read in this thread, I'll need to root the phone, but it seems the process is dependent on the firmware (same as Build?), and I didn't see my version (though I didn't read the entire thread). Can someone help me get started with the process (or point me to someplace I can find the info)? Thanks.

I have not installed my SIM card yet, nor have I set up the phone with my Google account, nor have I installed a micro SD card yet. The phone is connected to my local wifi, and my carrier will be AT&T.

Rooting Ascend P1 U9200 B315 EUI1.5 JB v4.1.1

Anyone wanting to root there new firmware update here are the files...

you must run them as administrator

1. Download the files below.

2. Extract

3. Run the Click-To-Root-U9200.bat (As Administrator)

4. Reboot your fone clicking yes on your fone to install SuperUser

that's it, your rooted

for those wanting to do the commands there self...

1. Extract them to C:\U9200Root\
2. adb reboot bootloader
3. fastboot boot TWRP.img
4. restart you fone clicking yes to install SuperUser

PS if youve not got much space left in your system partition you may have to delete something from system/app/ to make space for the SuperUser files.
REMEMBER the space reported on your fone by android is the space on your data partition and not the system!
You can check how much system data etc space you have left from the TWRP recovery which you will have just installed.To do this, Reboot the fone holding the Vol. Up Button, click on advanced then terminal then type "df" without quotes if system partition is less than say 10-20mb free then delete maybe chrome.apk, GSM_Maps.apk or the like, then reinstall them to the /data/ part later. Since many of these apks get updated and the old ones left undeleted in /system/app/ anyways, I always delete the non system apks or replace them in /system/app/ with the updated versions in data/app after I update everything in google play, makes things a lot tidier and saves a lot of space both in /data and /system.
Anyways hope I helped someone with this...

Yess, it works
I finally got the driver installed for the Blaze after installing Onekey_ROM did the work.
Now have B115 working with gapps.

Nope you have to use TWRP to root JB firmwares.

Sorry for my bad english.
Finally I solved the problem.
The problem is not in TWRP or CWM; the problem is that there is not enough space in folder /system/app.
From TWRP I went to "Advanced" and then "file manager"; here from the /system/app I deleted all the languages ​​other than Italian-pack (my language), chrome.apk and gsm-map.apk. Then I flashed SU_flashable and after boot-up SU was finally installed.
It seems that the difficulty of obtaining root permissions in all stock roms from b105 onwards is precisely linked to the lack of space in the / system / app.
I hope to be helpful to those who find themselves with the same problem.

Follow my guide. Use TWRP recovery, it roots everything.
