Rooting MT6797T-based tablet running Oreo

I have a Chinese Android tablet which I am trying to root. Any help, pointers, etc, would be appreciated.

CPU-Z provides this info:

Manufacturer: KTE
Model: M6
Board: mt6797 (64 bit)
Chipset: MT6796T
OS: Oreo
Build Fingerprint: CHUWI/Hi9Pro/Hi9Pro:8.0.0/O00623/1547689658:user/release-keys
Build Time: 2020 10 17 02:56:22

looking at the Device Fingerprint, I assume you have the CHUWI Hi9 Pro, if your device has dual boot (windows and android), then use this Guide.
If on the other hand your device is spoofing that fingerprint and you can't dual boot, then use This. (only if your device is not a CHUWI)

Thank you for your prompt reply. My tablet definitely is not a Chuwi but rather a Chinese no-name tablet running just Android 10.
I will try the second guide and report back.
