Rooting questions before I root...

I be using this guide to root my wifi model of the Note I be getting soon:

I just wanted to ask, is this the best and up to date method?.

Also do I have to disable knox?, all I want really is to have access to the SD card so I can delete and write stuff there.

Thanks, but do I need to install TWRP Recovery and busybox?

All I need is to get access to write and erase on the sd card. So do I still need to install twrp and busybox?.

Not if you only want to root..I used towelroot then go to market and grab superSu

Rooted it, didn't install busybox or twrp since I'm not going to use roms.

Is that OK?.

Thanks, if I do a tablet factory reset ie erase all content would I lose root?.
