Rooting stock 23.4.A.0 546054 ROM while keeping a locked bootloader?

So I have previously had root access but lost it after updating. So now I have no root, and I can't install official updates either since I have a custom bootloader installed. So I was hoping to gain root once again and flash a debloated newer ROM but still keep the bootloader locked to keep the optimized camera.

So what am I looking at here?

What should I do to gain root and flash a custom ROM?

I don't quite understand your question, maybe use flashtool or PC companion and start again? Then search forums for how to root.
