Hi! New to OnePlus Community... I've just ordered Oneplus 5 to substitute my glorious Nexus 4 and I wondered if I can easily Root OP5 without voiding the warranty.

I'm trying to clear my mind about that question because I'd like to Root my OP5 as soon as it comes out of the box, so I don't have to lose all the data later. Is it a good idea?

Thanks in advance for your kindness and disponibility!

OnePlus devices are really easy to root, just like Nexus devices. I came from a Nexus 4 to a OnePlus 3 and it was a breeze. Also you will find a lot of custom ROMs for the phone. Rooting does NOT void the warranty.

It does not void the warranty even if I root by installing TWRP Recovery (that happens to be the only Rooting-methods that I know) ?
Anyway, thanks a lot for your answer
