what is that supposed to mean? im completely lost :p
It means he compiled the su command from source, added this to an update package, which he then applied using a goldcard. Process for this is elsewhere. It aldo means

1 we have root access, this means we can modify and do stuff like use market enabler, and more.
2 untill we have the engineering SPL (non perfect) we wont be able to make custom ROMZS.

Are you saying that the SPL we have now is perfect instead of engineering? And that we'd need to update it prior rooting?

I believe, using Goldcard, we can install rom with higher version. To fully install custom roms we need SPL with S-OFF, current is S-ON and as far as I know has not yet been hacked. Perhaps that guy from other forum will succeed. To root I guess Goldcard and higher rom version, with su will do.

The Legend is now available in Taiwan (where produced) for 499 USD and sells as suit cakes.

Thus, many on TW websites are on stand-by when th guys from XDA or Modaco will release the Root guide for Desire and Legend.

Question is, what are they waiting for >>>> __ ?

EDIT: the TW models are already released with 1.31 ROM's
